There are no circumstances where an Arsenal win is a good thing. Apart from the we'd be relegated otherwise scenario. Even then I'd feel dirty. Ashamed. An unintelligible mix of elation and despair. Like a Welshman alone in a field of sheep.
Well done gents. A good win. Goals win games and sadly we're not great at scoring. Best of luck for the remainder of the season

Nice to see Chester get a goal early in the season. He has already matched last seasons total and is now looking good to rack up a couple more than he did last season.
Well done today. Hull are certainly a club we could do with emulating. And we've started to by trying that formation of yours! I'm hoping that with Caulker and Onouha learning from Rio, we'll be up and running in no time. One question though - do you guys ever have concerns with how much your 'keeper punches the ball!? I know he made some great saves today, but the amount he punches would have my nerves on edge!!
No, he's been the best keeper we have had for years. The defence in front of him play with confidence as they know they are playing in front of safe hands.
Fair play then - I really hate the punching but I'm probably just a dinosaur. More and more 'keepers are doing it. I'm sure some statistician somewhere has worked out its the safest options and 'keepers are being trained to punch more.
He's pretty effective, I wasn't overly impressed when we signed him - but he's been excellent. I'm sure you'll be fine when you get the additional players in. We need another striker or two!
I think you are the first opposition poster to every say that! There is a certain element in the "Hull way" that unfortunately you will never want to copy. Its called "We never win, the other team loses". Its a feature of our game, that is perhaps the most frustrating. Commentators will say for instance that QPR dominated possession when in fact it turned out pretty even.
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_UIYdMMy8lvekpGbXFuWDViX1k/edit?pli=1 Here's a good link for MOTD (will work for ex-pats too) Watching it confirmed one of the things I thought yesterday about when Robertson passed it back to Bruce and it nearly led to a QPR goal. On here a lot of people said it was a poor pass from Robertson and praised Bruce for the recovery, but if you watch it again it is entirely Bruce's fault due to the fact that he is immobile and uncomfortable with a football. He misreads the pass which is at a perfect speed and direction to control and it nearly cost us dearly. On a different note the breakaway when Ince nearly scored was beautiful football and if he had just lifted the ball slightly it would have been a fantastic goal. With some sharper finishing Ince could become a really great footballer.
We aren't that good at scoring either. The difference in this game was our defence got tighter in the second half.
