I have watched both BBC and Sky to see the reports on the Tigers and both, yet again, and especially the Beeb, have total bias against Hull City and giving a fair reported account. For Final Score we got a detailed account of the away winners today but when it came to City they switched to an interview with Nige of Leicester with the promise of getting back to Hull City after the interview. Did they hell, the came back and started talking about WBA and not a mention about City, total sh*ts. Then Sky, they droned on about most of the other winners in the Premiership but despite the interview with Steve Bruce, brief at that, it was back to talk about every other team except the Tigers. An utter disgrace and total bias of the media against our team even worse as they spent so much time discussing blasted drawn games, notably WBA and Leicester, what sh*ts they are.
On Sky, they only talk about the four games that the studio guests were watching and show all manager interviews. No bias there. They're hardly going to make Chris Kamara stand around at the stadium for half hour just to ask him a couple of questions on the game. Ever thought on BBC that the interview footage hadn't come through yet and they were waiting for that?
This is off the SkySports match report. "Harry Redknapp's side enjoyed the majority of possession during the contest" yet the stats page shows us having 58% of the possession.
Ya gotta love the Junior Dramas on Twitter; George Benwell ‏@Georgeqpr1 · 3m @hull_joe90 @Huddz8 Yeah it was a soft penalty but thats not my fault. We destroyed you the whole game
Omega..yours was a definite pen in my eyes. i cant believe you didnt get that ours was no way a penalty. Not sure how the ref called that, i think justice was done with the save. We had many chances to put the ball in the net and didnt do it. On any other day we'd have put 3 in from our chances, (not putting you down) but you had a man on the post, saved a pen and you keeper had a great game i take no credit away from your team & in my first post i said i think to many had underestimated your squad. i like Snodgrass & ince as players, but Ince junior seem a real tosser like his old man. like i said, well done. its silly season at the moment and teams still have 4 weeks to bring in and ship out players. the team you played today will be very different to the team you play in the rematch. good luck lads
The BBC have had a soft spot for the Dramas since the days of Frank Bough 'just round the corner at Loftus Road' being his favourite phrase at 4.40. The BBC Sports operation is now at Salford Quays however, hence the Man Utd bias.
Helluva win today, mates. And allow me to say, Allan McGregor is a badass. That PK save following the bullshit handball foul was epic. I was also impressed with Tom Ince. That kid is going to be really good soon. Hopefully Snodgrass' injury isn't serious and he'll come back quickly.
Totally different. UK TV companies can't show any footage/highlights between 3-5pm. NBC don't have any limitations on their coverage in this respect.
Maybe it is because two players went off injured from the first half and one of them could be out for months.
We may have well missed Long. But what we were crying out for was someone to hold the ball up-Sagbo. Would have made a difference. Hopefully I am not dreaming here, but, I am hoping that Sagbo is going to have a break out season. His first touch and hold up play is excellent, but, he needs to start sticking a few in the net.
We didn't play particularly well today against a team who will struggle and quiet possibly go down. However we showed a lot of Premier League nous. Won the game the hard way. Defended well. Promising..
You mean they couldn't record something for show a little later in the programme? And why wasn't City's match one of the 4 Sky was watching in the first place, as for the Beeb you only have to look at Look North to realise that it should be re-named Look Lincolnshire even though the studio is in Hull, and if they were waiting for the footage to come through why the wait when all the other stuff was shown? This is not an isolated incident MOTD should be interesting tonight.
Where possible, Sky send Chris Kamara to a game in London so he's nearby for Goals on Sunday the following day. Today it was ours. Kamara used to report from Craven Cottage a lot but with them down he'll end up at other London/Southern clubs instead. They could record a chat but who will Chris talk to when Jeff is speaking to the other guests? Sky's reporter (in this case Tony Jones) will be busy interviewing the two managers and two players in this time (which is more important) Can't argue with your Look North comment. We'll be near the end of Match of the Day as any 1-0 should be.
