Not having searched the threads yet...has anyone got some good vids of the goals please, from the school end and in the rain, didn't see too much
The official ones will be made available at midday today. As I'm "working at home" today I'll keep an eye out.
Excellent post about caring /trying hard enough. I agree 100% with your comments Beth and I have played many sports, all at a fairly low level!
I agree Ned is invaluable with his pace (at CB or RB), but as I think Grifter said he looks rusty at the moment. He got caught in possession in dangerous situations and his distribution was not good yesterday. I not been a big Dunne fan but it was good to see him helping Ned out when we needed him to.
Pace should always be important as it gets you out of trouble and also puts the opposition in trouble.
There are similarities alright Betty - overweight and slow - but I think you're being a bit harsh on him comparing him to Taarabt overall. He doesn't lose the ball half as much and does look to try and find a teammate instead of trying to do something silly to look good to the crowd and losing the ball. His attitude is also far superior (that's not saying much I know). Some have questioned this and maybe they have a point considering he seems to be carrying an extra stone or two but on the pitch I think he's given his all since he's been with us. Overall a team player who wouldn't disrupt the dressing room or let his teammates down like the clown we got shot of.
The usual, completely predictable drivel!! They are both luxury players. Taarabt ripped the Championship apart whilst Kranjcar is struggling. He loses the ball much, much more than Taarabt did and doesn't score freely or create chances in the way Taarabt did in the championship. That is the only comparison that bares relevance...........in the same league, one was sublime the other, Kranjcar, is looking lazy, unfit, fat and a complete luxury. You agree that he looks very overweight which is surely a sign of a bad attitude as he's had plenty of time to get fit. If he cared, surely he would? As soon as he starts to play well consistently, I'm sure I will enjoy his obvious talents. Let's hope we don't have to wait too long! BTW...........another good display from Taarabt in the Premier League yesterday.
