Watford as a whole is **** but I live in one of the nicer parts. :emoticon-0103-cool:

I think Shepherds Bush has its bad parts but there are far, far worse parts of London and other cities.

Nicer part? Surely the nicest part is Croxley and that is because it isn't really Watford.:emoticon-0100-smile

As for the Bush, although it may not be the worst place on Earth I honestly don't think it has any redeeming features at all these days. It is simply a ****hole, populated mainly by the dregs of society.

I agree, I can't walk through the market without getting pissed off with someone.

I don't spend a lot of time there as I'm not really one to drink pre-match but it's got a few decent pubs and, ermmm, a cinema. If you like drugs it's a paradise.

The worrying thing is you could be talking about Watford or Shepherds Bush.

I used to drink on the Green up until a few years ago just because it was a central enough place to meet. And the Aussies were always civilised. Places like Ladbroke grove can be as moody but for me have far more character and are always quite good for a drink although I have to admit I haven't drank in the Grove, Latimer Road or westbourne Park for over a year. You get older, have family responsibilities and so on. I do miss the earthiness and spit and sawdust of drinking in London but I would never move back there. I enjoy living in a fairly quiet country part of Bucks and I like the fact that my kids are less likely to get stabbed to death outside of their school gates.

Jeez Louise, Zinc Allah.
Are you still on here, banging on about Shepherds Bush?

Anyone who posts on here dosen't live here anymore.
Move on, like the rest of us have.
Yes of course it's a ****-hole, like most of inner-London.

It's just where we happen to be based and why we can't attract any new fans, because the local inhabitants are'nt interested in football.

Watford's a great place if you like chain pubs and cheap slags falling out of Area, which I do.

I'm not really sure what Allah has to do with it but hey, you're more than welcome to ignore my posts. Most others have no problem with this.
I was just rambling on with someone else about the Bush, that's all. No harm done.
Sorry if that leaves you out.
Why don't you start a thread about something you're familiar with and then we'll try and join in with that if it makes you feel better.

I think I may now be too old for Watford town centre.

That place is murder on a friday and saturday night. Filled with youngsters who can't handle their drink. It's not like in my day when we couldn't handle our drink. Cos our drink was obviously better cos it came from the old days.

But for a youngster who can hold his drink it's a great place. Not great exactly- **** is more accurate, but a good kind of ****.

No problem with that Zinc, I grew up in the Bush too.
Only a few streets from you, as it appears.
So neither do I feel left out or feel the need to start a new thread.
I grew up on the White City Est, and my grandparents and mother lived in Abdale Rd. ( The next St. from Stanlake. )
I went to school at Wren. I just don't see how the placement of QPR reflects on our standing as a Football Club.
Maybe we should move to Mayfair to be more acceptable to the the Mighty Chelsea.

Quite right. Mayfair sounds more like it.

I always avoided the White City Estate as a kid. It had an evil mythology about it.

And thankfully we moved away from the Bush before I reached secondary school so I never had to go to Wren although Henry Compton was equally ****.

Mmmm, I think we may know eachother Zinc.
If not, we may have the same aquaintances.
It all depends on the generation.
Most of my friends went to Compton.
On moving to Fulham, I decided to stay at Wren, purely for profesional reasons.

Andre Villas-Boas set for FA charge over comments about referee following Chelsea's defeat to QPR - report - Goal.com

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas will reportedly face an FA charge after criticising referee Chris Foy after his club’s defeat to QPR on Sunday, according to The Daily Mirror.

The Blues went down 1-0 at Loftus Road after giving away an early penalty and saw Jose Bosingwa and Didier Drogba sent off in the first half.

The Stamford Bridge club will receive a £25,000 fine after collecting seven bookings as well as the two red cards, while Villas-Boas is set to be charged by the FA.

The Portuguese manager aired his grievances after the final whistle with Foy and the fourth official Kevin Friend, and again in his post-match interviews, saying of Foy that he “couldn’t handle a game of this emotion”.

He disputed the sending-off of Bosingwa, as well as the decisions that saw David Luiz concede a penalty converted by Heidar Helguson while several Chelsea appeals were ignored.

Ah bless, seems ‘Romans Bas###d children’ are not very happy this morning. All that arrogance came back to bite them in the bum.

Get over it, you lost and we thank you for the 3 points.

It was sad to see all those Chelsea fans moaning about the ref when they cannot keep their players in order? Once again Drogba lets you down like he did in that game against ‘Barca’ and you blame the ref? You are not a smart lot are you? (Maybe that poster should change his name to ‘The Drog’s Bo####ks’)?

Proud of Rangers yesterday, ‘Real fans and a Proper club’.

Poor old ‘fat Lumplard’ wasn’t very happy with the QPR fans giving him stick or ‘JT’ come to think of it.

However the best quote came from a Chelsea fan on another site who said:
We can be sure to pound QPR into pulp at the Bridge, the fans will be waiting for that one, and Im sure I'll be there as well.
Yeah okay mate like the last 3 games?
Grow up and move on because QPR now look at you as a ‘little brother’.
