Similar to us they've got 4 danger players. The strikers, Trippier and the ex-Wolves winger whose name escapes me. Stop them and you stop Burnley. Easier said than done of course, as you found today. I thought Vokes was a perfect 10, superb display.
I agree with all comments by Sooper and NUTSY. I do hope we don't get the same old "verdict" of Dunne and Hill being exposed for pace. Yes, anytime you concede 3 you've got to look at your center halves but the truth is, we got done from out wide and if Ned had've been in the center, it would have been no different. I really like Onuoha though, he's a proper footballer. Never a full back but a really good player. Maybe he could do a job as a DCM? On their second goal I was roaring at the TV screen in the pub for Hoillett to put pressure on their left winger but neither he nor Ned did so and it led to the goal. Maybe Dunne could have done better too. This happened another time after that except it was Bartion that stopped tracking and Ned again stayed inside. What I noticed with Ned was when he saw that there was a player out wide (Hoillett and Barton in those two instances above) he stayed inside himself, obviously feeling that if there's already a guy out there, he need not go out himself. That's classic center-half thinking and its natural he behaves like that as he's a not a full-back, he's a central defender. Overall I felt there were two very good teams out there and neither deserved to lose. Burnley look a lot better than I thought they were.
7 points for Vokes and 8 points for Ings 9 points for us for getting beaten up and then showing the division exactly what we are about by coming back from what looked like a defeat ... Difference was there to see On the ropes we woke up Not enough for 3 points of course but enough to keep the danger in mind Foxes and Burnley excellent but maybe playing at their limits ? I think QPR can still step it up that may be the difference as shown late on today ... Interesting how it will pan out you agree?
Leicester are playing better and better with each game. I've seen nothing to suggest you can step up again though? Poor defending from ex-Leicester Ben Mee gifted you the 3-3 equaliser. It will be interesting though. Maybe Derby will enter the fight for 2nd now.
Not sure I agree there as I have seen some flashes even today that show us clicking albeit in very short spells We have the players but not the consistencies as shown when Burnley were well on top ... Maybe our egos need a kick but the signs are there We aren't a complete team but getting closer to what is expected with our squad ... We get up then maybe the class will be clearer to see
I didn't know that Leicester only won three games after their good run ended last season (15 poits from 17 games) . You never know, they may blow up again
I'll be absolutely gobsmacked if it happens again. This is the same side that went on that run. They've learnt from their mistakes and Pearson is keeping the lads grounded. We'll win games and we lose games, we just need to make sure the response is correct for the next game.
So the fact that you've won 8 in a row, is logically equatable to "Leicester are getting better and better every game". C'mon Einstein, explain to me how that works
I never disputed that. I simply said that you're not getting "better and better every game". Hang on...don't tell me you didn't use your brains before you posted? Nice literacy skills PF I see you're offline now though, bless
I don't mind a bit of wumming but how the hell are these two Moderators?!! Derby have won it. 1-3 now
