Not sure if it’s been said before, but last night has reminded me of Derby away during our title winning season. This team is nowhere near Warnock’s but I hope it’s got some belief from last night that desire and a ne’er say die attitude can reap dividends. Kick on, boys.

Fair play to this chap he does give a balanced and well written piece on all games. Here's an idea, let's play hoof ball from the first minute. If we haven't got enough good footballers to play good football, bung it up to a couple of big men and have sniffers doing the rest, I'll take points rather than "style" for the next couple of months

Smith and Sylla up front for me, they are our best goal scorers. Pawel to supply crosses + our regular midfield 3 to run create and hold. Except no Freeman at PNE, a chance for Chair perhaps? Leave Mickie, Conor and Cousins on the Bench or Stand. I did like Mackies flicked diving header though Monday.

Didn't get a chance to post on here during game or since, but managed to stay watching in the pub with my 2 golfing buddies (Ian, my Burnley supporting mate who a few on here have met when he came over to HQ a couple of times and my other mate who is a Corkonian, has no specific football alliegence and is sadly coming to terms with his wife passing away a month or so ago) until the end......

All of us actually thought it was a decent game, 2 sides trying to win the game, one (Brentford) obviously a better footballing side than the other but the other (R's) showing more determination and not getting the breaks until those 2 manic minutes in stoppage time......

Briefly..... Smithies, we are fortunate to have him, one of the best keepers in the division and better than many playing in the top flight.

Robinson, now becoming the player we hoped we were getting when he first signed, been a revelation as a part of a back 3, I'd keep him there and play him along side Ned

Midfield 3, worked tirelessly but became stretched as we went in search of a late consolation goal

Mackie/Washington......one of the same type of player, need only one on the pitch at any one time. Prefer Washington over Mackie as his ball control is somewhat better. Washington needs to improve his movement in the box, watch Vibe's movement for both his goals and learn....

Width, we need width, how many times do we need to say this? Start with Pawel and he tires bring on Wheeler or start with both and have Sylla/Smith as the front man......

Freeman is now suspended for Preston so a chance for Manning to step up......

Finally Holloway's rant, I'm sure he gets abuse from the stands during the game and maybe this is his way of replying to the abuse. He may have a point. Some of our fans seem to think that it's their right to hurl abuse at people because they paid their money, well in that case the object of their abuse has the right to reply, get over it.......

yeah apologies I didn't read the second from last section (scrolling too fast and missed it). I thought at the time it didn't flow. All I read was
'whatever Ian Holloway might have said or not, was hysterically funny'.

I remember it well because we got attacked by about 40 Swindon skinheads in the pub by the station waiting for the next train. QPR's first 21st Century goal!

Remember a game at Swindon a couple of years before that, midweek, in their ****ty away stand with no cover and it absolutely pissed down the whole game - no memories of the actual result, but I definately didn't leave early, despite being soaked to the skin!!

Swindon Skinheads? I was at that game and other than a few country bumpkins to our left I never saw any but then I was at a game once that kicked off big time and my mates never saw anything.

I assume that this bunch are not the type of people to actually go to the games, they just got tipped off by someone that a group of a dozen "cockneys" (as in "come on then you cockney ****s") were in the pub. They were probably targetting one particular bloke who is quite a well known nutter who happened to be with us.
The turn out for that game was exceptional, as was the crowd three days earlier at Charlton. Our away following was probably at its best around that time.
