Most Irish fans will fully understand our reverence for Richard Dunne. I can fully appreciate that he may not be held in the same esteem over here but to say he has been immense at club and international level for nearly a decade is an understatement. Our fans unfortunately are seeing Dunne at the twilight of his career which again is understandable because a club the size of ours should not be able to finance top top players until they are near the end of their playing careers. I have said it before and I'll say it again , Richard Dunne is the best defender (quality, experience,value for money) we have had at our club in decades. His contract is perfect for is and do far he has been a giant with very very few costly mistakes attributed to him. My only concern is that Onouha hasant played beside him more to learn his trade from a player that was once the equal of any Prem CB. In real terms, he owes us nothing but gives 100% every game.
