I wouldn't say Derby are scoring for fun...Since the new year they've scored 3 (tonight), 1, 1, 1, 0, 0. Not saying they won't trouble us but the form they were showing in December has gone and they're now scrapping for results just like us.
Didn't Johnson get Barton sent off under similar circumstances? 21:24: RED CARD- Norwich 0-0 Newcastle - Bradley Johnson Three red cards in a minute then! Loic Remy and Bradley Johnson have a flare-up, they both push each other and then Remy goes in with his head. Johnson goes down theatrically, but referee Chris Foy decides to send them both off.
Yes and Johnson should have sent off much more clearly than Barton. He is a cheat and luckily was punished from that tonight.
Well done tonight lads ... makes your game against Burnley very interesting ... forgive me for hoping for a draw ... don't forget to send Queenie over later on to tell us how we'll bottle it soon, he's becoming our lucky talisman, bless him
Also on the bright side, we're 15 pts ahead of 7th place Ipswich on 40 pts, with a game in hand and a better GD, and also 8th place Brighton also on 40 pts, so we should be a shoo-in for at least the playoffs.
We always seem to find our pace just after HT. I saw both goals and must praise Henry a bit. I suppose he really can kick the ball afterall. Somebody wrote about Boltons goal that it was because sloppy defending. Was it ?
Just back from work. A wins a win. Is it just me or are we now scoring more than the customary one goal a game since we went to 4-4-2. Imagine what we could do if we played the system correctly with two wingers.
another one goal win over an awful, awful Bolton side in a very poor game. the back 5 were generally solid except for the last couple of mins henry pulled a legeirtwood by being the worst player on the pitch by a mile but scoring a 25 yarder. Philips had a good game. Austin did nothing but buried his chance. shock of the game was zamora who came on and won everything.
Nuts there was an Irishman in the school end behind me that sounded exactly like you, he then went on to extol Dunne for the whole match and I was certain he was your brother at least! He was right though, yer man Dunne had a good game tonight.
