We will win 8 nil to leave us level goal difference. El Hadj Diouf will make a shock return for Blackburn and will be stretchered off after 10 minutes with a treble leg fracture caused by a trip over his sulky bottom lip, the QPR players will then form a line of honour to applaud him as he leaves the pitch and Jamie Mackie will offer to shake his hand in a gesture of good will. Man of the match - Steve Kean, who runs onto the pitch at 7-0 down to head in a spectacular own goal before ripping off his shirt in front of the Blackburn fans with the legend "You can all kiss my a*se" scrawled in red lipstick across his chest before slashing the tyres on the away coach and disappearing into the White City estate never to be seen again. Or 0-0.
First visit to the Loft this season so I am going for a 3:1 against bottom side Blackburn. We urgently need 3 points looking at the next games to come.
QPR's lucky referee gets Blackburn game http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=14347
This is also my first visit this season, but I'm not as optimistic as you and will predict 1-1. Rather more optimistically, I'm gonna go with Mackie to come off the bench and grab the equaliser!
My first home visit, was at wolves for the 3-0 so hoping for similar - bringing my boy for his first prem game so better be a good one. By the way our seats have a person in between so im hoping it's someone nice who will swap to let us sit next to each other !
It's me! And no I will certainly not. Joking aside, I hope any marginal desicions go our way after Warnock,s praise for referee Clattenburg last season. But let's hope that we put in a great effort & get a result that we don't need to even mention the ref. I'm hoping for a confident and positive performance from the R''s. I'd like to see us use the ball with more effect and urgency in the final third of the pitch, than we have in our previous matches. If we play like we have in our past home games and gain that cutting edge in front of goal, we can have this match won by half time. However, if we don't , prepare for another disappointing result. I hope Warnock has had them practising free-kicks, ( Can't believe i'm saying that, we used to even do that at school. ) and has nominated someone as the sole kick taker, regardless whether the first few are successful or not. As i'm sure we will win 4 or 5 free-kicks in and around the box against this lot.
If you’re manning the panic stations, stand down http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...you’re_manning_the_panic_stations,_stand_down
Who expected a good result against Everton after the Bolton thrashing - not many I guess. Sun is predicted for Saturday so I am positive about the result.
Opta Stats: QPR v Blackburn Opta / Michael Lintorn / 12 October 2011 / Leave a Comment Free Bet The stats indicate that it hasn't been a great season so far for Paul Robinson Neil Warnock's side are odds-on to defeat Blackburn, but these Opta statistics indicate that the match will be far closer than the odds suggest... QPR have the lowest conversion rate of any team in the Premier League, scoring with just 6% of their attempts. Blackburn have given away the most fouls (96) of any team in the Premier League this season. Rangers' 0-6 defeat last time out against Fulham was their heaviest defeat in the Premier League and their third worst in the English top flight (lost 1-8 to Man Utd in March 1969 and 1-7 to Sheffield Wednesday in May 1987). Blackburn won the last three Premier League meetings with QPR by a 1-0 scoreline and that was also the score when they met in last season's FA Cup. QPR have failed to score in four of their seven Premier League games and only netted via an own goal in one of the others (against Aston Villa). Blackburn have won only one and lost eight of their last 12 Premier League away games. Rovers have only won three of their last 21 Premier League matches overall (W3 D7 L11). George Ian Cooper @QPRTimes George Ian Cooper Interesting hint from Neil Warnock that #QPR may change tactics against Blackburn on Saturday
Just saw on Vital that Gabbidon will miss the game; seemingly not recovered yet from injury. Traore returns so Luke Young will switch back, but Hall likely to keep his place. Not the news we were hoping for.......
QPR midfielder waits on knee injury AkOS Buzsaky will know early next week the seriousness of a cyst on his knee – and whether he has to play through it for the rest of the season. The 29-year-old Hungarian missed four months of last season’s Championship-winning campaign with a knee problem, and his chances of featuring in this campaign also appear limited. “He should be able to play through the problem and have the cyst removed at the end of the season,” said QPR boss Neil Warnock, “but we’ll know more when we get the specialist’s report.” Meanwhile, defender Danny Gabbidon has been ruled out of Saturday's clash with Blackburn, with Matt Connolly (ankle) a major doubt. http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-....2029-295875 27/ iReader

George Ian Cooper @QPRTimes George Ian Cooper Team news from #QPR press conference: Gabbidon out, Dyer obviously likewise. Connolly in contention but 50-50. No fresh worries.
Danny Gabbidon Defender in contention as injured QPR duo miss Blackburn clash Ian Cooper Thursday, October 13, 2011 11:51 AM Warnock without Gabbidon and Dyer, but could call on injured Connolly Matt Connolly could be set for a return to the QPR first team as Neil Warnock looks to bolster his defensive options for the visit of Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. The Rs boss is definitely without centre-back Danny Gabbidon, who is still out with a knee injury, and confirmed that Connolly, who himself is recovering from an ankle injury and hasnt featured since the 0-0 draw with Newcastle, could be in contention for the match. Meanwhile, Warnock confirmed that Kieron Dyer is a long-term absentee as he still struggles with the foot injury he sustained in the opening-day defeat to Bolton Wanderers. Warnock confirmed: "Gabbidon will definitely be out, Kieron Dyer has got a complicated problem with the ligament on the top of his foot. "Hes unlucky really, its a lot more difficult than the orthopaedic guy thought when he first saw him. Theres no date, well just try and get him back as quickly as we can. "But hes feeling a lot better now, hes started rehabilitation now and hes walking. "Hopefully Connolly will be available but that will be touch and go Id imagine." FAURLIN: 'TIME TO DO OUR PART' Posted on: Thu 13 Oct 2011 R's midfielder Ale Faurlin says that the team are desperate return to winning ways ahead of Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash with Blackburn Rovers in W12. Rangers, of course, suffered derby day blues in their last fixture, with Neil Warnock's men on the wrong end of a 6-0 defeat at West London neighbours Fulham. But little less than two weeks have passed since that defeat and, in an exclusive interview with www.qpr.co.uk ahead of training this morning (Thursday), the 25-year-old admitted that the team are determined to banish memories of that defeat this weekend. "Saturday is a massive game for us," Faurlin said. "We have to prepare in the best way that we can so that we're ready for it. "Obviously the mood wasn't that good for a few days after the Fulham game, but that is football. We have to move on and be ready on Saturday. "We know that it is an important game and we have to try and win to bring back the confidence into the team. "Before the Fulham game we were doing very well, but we know that we have to improve." Steve Kean's Rovers come into the match struggling for form and are currently second from bottom in the Premier League. Faurlin, however, is far from underestimating Saturday's opponents, who will no doubt be just as intent as the R's on claiming victory to haul themselves back up the league table. He added: "It's a chance to get our first home league win of the season and we'll be focused and prepared - let's try and win the game. "They have to win as well, because they are in a difficult situation. "It's going to be a tough, tough game, but hopefully one that we can get a result from." Much has been said about the outstanding support of the travelling R's faithful in our derby day defeat at Fulham. And Faurlin has called on himself and his fellow team-mates to repay that faith by registering all three points on Saturday. "The fans were super at Fulham and we have to try and prove every week that we're good enough to play in the Premier League," the Argentine playmaker continued. "We need the fans and we know that the support will be there at Loftus Road on Saturday. "Now it's time to do our part. We're looking to repay that faith by getting a result. "We have to show the fans that we love this Club and want to win games."
Posted by Brian Mahon 17 minutes ago Queens Park Rangers need a win to shake off their Fulham hangover, and Blackburn present the perfect opportunity to do that on Saturday. Following the punishing loss at Fulham, the R's return to Loftus Road seeking their first home win of the season against a struggling Rovers side that has only won once this season. Some fans laughed off suggestions this week that this is a "must-win" game so early in the season, noting that this year's goal is purely survival and the club has plenty of time to secure the necessary points. Looking down the barrel of Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City and Stoke on the horizon, I beg to differ. Given the thrashing taken at Craven Cottage, I would wager that the season hinges on how this game plays out. A win will restore the pride and ambition that the team had a fortnight ago. A loss, particularly with a continuation of the poor form shown in the last match, and tough results may continue for weeks, putting QPR in a hole that may be too deep to claw their way out of. QPR will have to overcome the absences of defensive leader Danny Gabbidon, who continues to recover from a leg injury, and Matthew Connolly who is also sidelined with a knock picked up in training two weeks ago. However the flanks will be boosted by the return of Armand Traore following his one game suspension and Bradley Orr is likely to see the start following his performance last week. For their part, the players seem ready to put the Fulham game behind them and focus on their form. Alejandro Faurlin told the Club's website: "Saturday is a massive game for us. We have to prepare in the best way that we can so that we're ready for it. Obviously the mood wasn't that good for a few days after the Fulham game, but that is football. We have to move on and be ready on Saturday. We know that it is an important game and we have to try and win to bring back the confidence into the team." Despite their record, no club in the Premier League should not be underestimated (See QPR V. Wigan 27/8/11) and this will be a good test of what the current squad is made of. Though surely not world beaters, Blackburn did knock off Arsenal, albeit the north London side's own trouble this year, and drew against Fulham. Like QPR they have had moments of strong play, interspersed with bad form and poor luck, but this is a team that will give the Hoops a good fight and their back is also against the wall. Manager Steve Kean received a vote of confidence from the team's owners this past week, but fans are already clamoring for his head and he will no doubt be firing his squad up to get a good result this weekend. However, if QPR can resume the patient tactics they deployed against Wolves, Newcastle and half of the Aston Villa game, they can leave this fixture with some points in their pocket. Blackburn are coming off thumpings from Newcastle and Man City, having been outscored 7-1 in two contests. Granted, the same can be said for QPR's last two games, but it proves that Rovers can be vulnerable on defense and present a good opportunity for the Hoops to do some damage and right the ship. Taraabt wants to leave (again): One player to keep an eye on is Adel Taraabt, who notched a goal on a stunning free kick while on international duty last week, helping Morocco into the African Nations Cup. QPR's resident diva (and most talented player / valuable selling asset) appears to have reiterated his complaint that he's underpaid and seeking the exits while on duty for Morocco. There is some fairness to his request - what other star would see their club suddenly flush with cash and not ask for a raise? Neil Warnock's rebuff probably didn't help settle matters, as he told the temperamental play-maker that if he wanted a bigger contract he would have to - gasp, shudder - earn it with his play. Taraabt has been altogether average and the creative dominance he showed in the Championship has emerged thus far in his Premier League campaign. He is very young, signed to an affordable contract and talented with a high ceiling. He could be a fixture at the club for years, but seems eager to move on to a bigger stage with a fatter paycheck. Such is his right, and perhaps to the betterment of QPR, so long as they can extract a hefty fee for him such as the rumoured £10 million PSG was potentially offering. However, it is important to remember that the PSG move collapsed because their management felt Taraabt was not ready for top flight football. Handled correctly, his motivation to leave could end up being a win-win for player and club. If he can elevate his game and thus his value, he can help the R's secure a stay in the league while demonstrating that he truly has the quality to attract one of the big clubs he so desperately wants to bolt for. However, to get what he wants, he will need to deliver more on the pitch than he has so far this year. He could start this week, bringing the kind of skill to a set piece he showed against Tanzania for his national team. Click here for video of his strike: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QgqOtoWcTI QPR Eye January Moves Related Story here: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...and-fernandes-ponder-january-signings?cc=5739 As he's stated recently, Tony Fernandes will not use the club as a financial plaything, but he does intend to continue to support Neil Warnock and discussion this week has turned to potential moves during the next transfer window. Warnock is said to be looking for a new striker and another defender or two. Jay Bothroyd's performance may drive that decision between now and January, but DJ Campbell, Heidar Helguson and Jamie Mackie give the manager options should the former Cardiff City man continue to struggle in front of goal in the short term. Depth in the midfield and defense are also on the radar, and as shown against Fulham, for good reason. The starting four have a good deal of talent, but injuries and the unexpected are part of the game, and the club needs to find better bench replacements than Fitz Hall and Keiron Dyer, who will unfortunately - but not terribly surprisingly - be out until at least Christmas after dealing with another injury set back. He did look useful in his limited pre-season appearances, but one has to wonder when the club will lose patience with his absence and seek out a replacement. Its a shame because his versatility was viewed as a plus coming into the year, allowing Warnock to play him in the defence or central midfield. For now, it seems his "pay as you play" deal was a safe investment that didn't pan out, and perhaps he'll contribute something late in the year, but if there are other footballers available, it would not be a surprise to see him dropped when the transfer window reopens, regardless of his status at that point.
