Pity the same motivation hasn't been there in previous games. However it is time to look forward. We now know that we are capable of a performance like this. Pity Man Utd are up next. It would have been nice to try and build some momentum unless the unthinkable could happen.
I've just had another go at the predictor and it'll remain tighter than a nun's nasty at the foot of the PL. I can see us escaping by the skin of our teeth on goal difference to Blackburn. Wolves and Wigan are the other two down. I can see Man Utd taking the title by 7 points to City, with The Arse and Tottering Hotsperms getting the other CL places. Sadly (sniff) Chelski have to play their European footie on a Turdsday...
Always expect the unexpected, 1st January 1992 we were lambs to the new year slaughter, the rest is legend...
'The only sour note for the home club was the sight of one of the referee's assistants being struck by an object thrown from the crowd.' http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/mar/31/arsenal-arsene-wenger?newsfeed=true Now I know what all that fuss was about late on, was getting pissed off
As mentioned above Diakite did indeed have a great game but from PU, we had a very clear view of Mike Dean booking him. The facial features and body language was very clear. One more minor slip and you will be off mate!! Must improve his timing and general discipline as well as his game. Great goal!!
I love getting back from a game and reading this thread and seeing that all the fans that can't get to the game are going through the same wave of emotions as those of us that are there. To a man we we're fantastic today, I can't name a motm. Everyone was brilliant, there were no passengers today. v.Persil looked well off-side and it was also great to see the whole stadium up and singing. I said before the Liverpool game that we're in for a crackerjack ride-in and never ever give up. You can always trust a fireman. URssssssss!
A mention must go to those of you who were there today. The noise our fans were making was awesome and was very noticeable on the TV. So a big up to the RANGERS BOYS!!!
It was brilliant mate, right through to the celebrations afterwards! Makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck when the whole ground gets going!! Awesome!
You beat me to it Swordsie......absolutely the best time to play Utd. I have great memories of ordering a triple Baileys at the Findlater pub on Dorset St, off the owner who is a rabid Man Ure fan, two hours after that famous 1-4 win! Why not again? Think positive lads, think positive. I don't drink Baileys, by the way.....
Barton is closest, with 7 yellow. Young with 5 and Derry with 4 next, so shouldn't be anything to worry about...
This Best performance of season, solid defending from everyone, good passing, not many mistakes. And to top it with first goals for Taarabt + Diakite, who knows what is in store for the rest of the season. COYRsssss, we can do it!!!
