Congratulations on your promotion, enjoy the summer break and the craziness of NewsNow and all the rumours.

Out of interest, who are you hoping for to come up from the playoffs

Cheers ristac, probably Hull as we didn’t beat any of the others.

Fantastic day. Flew out of the traps and got into a deserved 2 goal lead but once again (and this is my biggest complaint this season), we didn’t put a complete 90 minute performance in. Let qpr back into the game and it would have got very nervy had they pulled 1 back. However, they didn’t. Got the 3rd goal to cap the day and got on the pitch with my nephew at the end. As they saw, the hard work starts now but I am buzzing this evening and probably will be until August

What a glorious day in our footballing history! In a way, that was a much tougher season and bigger achievement. KM mentioned the challenges they faced from day 1. Late signings, losing key players like Hutch, Morsy, Broadie, Tuanzebe and Sammie, plus late arrivals who missed pre-season.

He had to build a new team in very difficult circumstances. Undoubtedly we saw this affected our performances from
electrifying, dazzling free flow games, to utterly miserable!
But resilience was built and patterns and partnerships established. Our defense was for most part immense. Capt Dara perhaps player of season.
KM also thinks we will be stronger for the Prem. We all know that we need several key new players. It was sad but joyful seeing Wes leave the pitch with a big hug, and fans farewell. Prob his last game in a Town shirt, but who knows?

Leifs interview which I heard this morning sums up the spirit at our club.

"I just love playing football for this football club and I just love Ipswich Town.”

In my younger years, football was and still is everywhere in Ipswich. I am lucky to have seen the true greats in action. Sir Bobby Robson and Sir Alf Ramsey.

Enjoy the summer everyone, and see you in August!

What a brilliant day. Cracking atmosphere in and around the ground - both before the game and certainly after it! Like two years ago, I do feel sorry for the people tasked with cleaning up the streets after the celebrations!

As for the match, the opening ten minutes is arguably the best start to a game under McKenna. At 2-0, it felt like some complacency was creeping into our play but we did enough and the third goal wrapped things up. A professional performance and arguably sums up the best elements of this season’s side - defensively solid, flashes of brilliance, and a gritty sense of reliability. Only one defeat this season at Portman Road too - ruthless! I also can’t recall the last time we achieved an immediate promotion after relegation?

I’m sure there will be a big debate around the future of the squad and what areas we need to improve. I’d say we probably need to adopt the Sunderland and Leeds model this season by bringing in nine odd players, prioritising height, physicality, and players from abroad.

Three promotions in four seasons! If someone had said that five years ago, I would have assumed they were on a wind up!

Very sore head today but what an amazing day.

We've been spoilt over the last 4 years. Winning promotion 3 times at PR on the last home game of the season unbelievable.

The question is will we have another one in 2 years time....part of me hopes so, the town comes alive

I'd rather be celebrating PL "mid table mediocrity" this time next year and European qualification in two years time!

I’m not one for big write ups, but what a great day yesterday. Brilliant to get it over the line, and early goals made it relatively stress free. No doubt it’s been a bit challenging and we’ve had our ups and downs, but did the business when it mattered. I’m sure we’ll learn from last time, and surprise some with the right recruitment. Sunderland and Leeds have shown it can be done. Nice to finish with a correct score prediction too!

**** yeah, we did it again!

Phenomenal start to the match, absolutely blistering pace in our play. 2 goals up and then the injury break when Jaden had his ankle stood on killed the flow.

No worries, controlled the game, got the crucial third goal and cruised to promotion.

Probably Kieran's best achievement with us, earning automatic promotion with a new squad. Good news is the club infrastructure is already prepped for the Premier League, focus this summer will be on player recruitment. With a new performance centre due to open, the ladies securing WSL2 status and taking over the old men's facilities full time and the academy team doing well, the future looks very bright for all areas of ITFC.

Come on Ipswich!!!
