This is what I'd heard as well.

Of the seven charges QPR are haing to answer to some where related to the third party thing, but some were also related to falsifying documentation and I think this is what is going to hit them hardest. As I understand it the football league had initially said they were OK with the signing of Faurlin, despite the third party ownership stuff which is why he's been able to play for two years without anything happening, but the falsified documents have just been discovered which is why QPR are now being charged.

Whatever the result of the hearing though the FA have really ballsed it up. They should have dealt with it straight away instead of leaving it so late in the season. That way it clears up any confusion and gives QPR th chance to appeal without dragging it into the close season.
 
They couldnt have done it straight away as QPR needed time to prepare a legal case.

Also, in some ways its better to do it at the end where less games are compromised and the league doesnt go into complete disaaray midway through the season
 
Another charge I believe they've been hit with was the use of unlicensed agents. I think Luton got a 10 point deduction for that a few seasons ago, so I don't think the FA could ignore that precedent if guilty.
 
Dave, the Sun report allegedly came from a 'FA source' and is full of supposition. The Mirror article states the facts pretty much as we supporters understand them to be.

Hopefully it will go some way to showing how we see it.
 
IMO this decision should have been made long before automatic promotion had been decided, as I'd rather Norwich gained automatic promotion by finishing in the top 2 (which I believe they will do) because they were one of the top 2 sides in the championship and not by finishing 3rd and getting 2nd place because another team above them had points taken off them, as even though I would take the second place, it would only have been won by default. Also whilst the investigation into Faurlin's transfer was going on why was he allowed to play? For example, if a police officer or councillor is under investigation, they are suspended whilst the investigation is going on, therefore why wasn't Faurlin suspended from playing whilst his transfer was being investigated?
 
The Mirror is Left wing The Sun is Right wing, Apart from the price and the jugs they are the same....... Both peddle bull****............. It would be simpler to take down QPR by making an example of them, than trigger a series of counter claims............. I read an article in the Times months ago and the fact is, the FA have found a number of irregularities 7 i believe...... Way more than any one club has ever breached........ To be cleared of all these charges is naive to say the least, otherwise it would have been dropped by now............. The Times is also owned by Murdoch but the articles are much more thorough......

What has the papers' political leaning got to do with anything?! <doh>, my point was that the Mirror article pretty much sets out the facts as we, the QPR fans know them to be i.e., more accurate than the Sun claims of having an FA 'source'. How they will be judged is a different matter but you will at least understand now how we see the facts.

Faurlin's registration is legit Jedi, it's more to do with what QPR disclosed (or didn't) to the FA about the original deal when they bought out the third party registration ownership.
 
I have read alot of posts on the QPR & other boards, both on 606 and here but I am surprised to see amongst nearly all the discussions and arguments is the absence of ackowledgement of the falsified documents claim.

Most people seem to be liking this to the same as the Tevez case and therefore a fine would be the most appropriate course of action because that is what happened to West Ham. Difference is West Ham did not falsify documents (Not that I can recall). This little twist, seemingly ignored by most, could make the world of difference as to the outcome.

RangersHQ - Is that facts according to the Daily Mail or the real facts? They could be different. Personally I would treat them the same as the comments in the Sun, take them with a pinch of salt. Journalists are like many others, they can interpret what they have seen or heard in any way they want.

Ultimately it doesn't matter what any of the papers say, its what the Football authorities say at the end of the hearing that count. They will be the ones who have the 'real' facts to hand.

Does anyone know what the 7 charges are? because I do not and would like to know. I am guessing many others who have made comment also do not know. There are many articles just stating 7 charges relating to the Faurlin signing but nowhere have I seen a list of 7 charges.
 
Murdoch owns Fox News, Sky News, Sky Sports News, Sky sports, The Sun, The Times and has a personal grudge with Eccleston, You will not get a balanced view if you go by any of these sources........... I hope we go up in 2nd as dragging this out will tarnish our reputation.... However if Cardiff finish 3rd and don t go up, then they will take it through the courts for certain.........

If they didn't disclose everything then his registration isn't legit as the FA may have refused the transfer.
 
Some of the charges are as follows:

1.The club charges relate to the player Alejandro Faurlín and concern the alleged existence of an agreement between the club and a third party in respect of the player's economic rights, and the alleged failure by the club to notify the FA of that agreement before the player was registered to play in England in July 2009. (this could be more than one charge..?)

2. The club is also charged with allegedly using or seeking to pay an unauthorised agent in relation to the player's registration in July 2009.

3. The club and Gianni Paladini are also charged in respect of allegedly false information contained in documents submitted to the FA in relation to the same player signing an extension to his playing contract with the club in October 2010.

I would echo the sentiments that no Newspaper article, at this stage, can be quoted as fact. They are very unlikely to contain all the facts, even if some are true.

I very much doubt that anybody would have decided that Q.P.R are staring down the barrel at a 15 points deduction prior to the hearing itself.

I do, however, find it unlikely that Q.P.R will be cleared of any wrong doing. It's simply a case of the severity of the punishment that is to be imposed.

I have heard that "charge 2" is not as bad as it may initially seem; that the agent was licenced but not authorised by the FA. However, Luton did receive punishment for exactly that charge, I do not recall exactly how many points adeducted (10 perhaps)? However, I believe that the agent(s) was / were not licencesd or authorised by the FA (again, could be wrong).

I would see "charge 3" as the most worrying / potentially damaging as this, allegedly, attempted to cover up any previous wrong doing.

I don't think anyone can take away what Q.P.R have achieved this season in terms of their on pitch accomplishments however, it is the owners themselves that look to have undermined all the teams hard work.

I understand that this has taken so long due to the investigation and the fact that both prosecution and defence will have needed time to present their case however, I do not think this should have been left to carry on for so long.

You could only see that any serious points deduction, in my opinion, would have to be carried forward to next season so as to not disrupt this season any further.
 
The trophy is pretty meaningless, we are all playing for the SKY money, letting QPR go up with a points deduction is not really a punishment as they will pay whatever fine out of the £90mil...As long as they go up again with in 3 seasons the parachute payments will more than cover any losses.... The people that caused the mess will still pick up their money and the fans will see a whole season propping up the prem next year.......Hardly justice...
