About time we did then, and we should be aiming for them both and not another consolidation season while the parachute payments dwindle away. Hoillet would be decent back up for both wide players and Cheri, and coming off the bench at tiring defenses. Didn't he just play for Canada? If so his fitness level should be reasonable.
Agree with most of this and yet... we are so painfully lacking in flair that I can't help thinking another season is a worthwhile risk. From what we have seen thus far we may be capable of grinding out more results this season but it comes with the risk of the fans falling asleep.
Bit harsh I think. The first choice starting XI will have two proper wingers, Chery and at least one of Cousins/Luongo. The full-backs aren't the most attacking but I think it has to be that way given who's in midfield.
This is absolutely so spot on the mark of what so many QPR fans are now - as DT used to say "infected" Facts - We have won 3 out of 5 league games - 2 in decent fashion Through two rounds of a cup competition for the first time in over a decade As a club, we have had so many "inffective flair" players go through the door that it would have bankrupted many small countries - We now have some semblence of identity and values returning - and some of you are worried about falling asleep!!
What is 'infected' about wanting to see attacking, exciting football? This is not an expectation I have suddenly developed because of our farcical few seasons in the Premier League but because it is the QPR tradition I grew up with. I can only assume that those who are happy with results over style don't actually get to many games and that their entertainment comes from reading the stats pages rather than watching the match. That includes the now seemingly cannonised DT who self-confessed to seeing very few games in person.
I too hope we will play again the exciting attacking football we were once known for. I just don't see Junior contributing anything to the achievement of that ambition
