This really does highlight the bias idiocy of the anti-Adel mob. Stunningly stupid comments.

Saying Adel doesn't pass in the final third is like saying that Onouha doesn't win headers or that Traore is slow. Its just complete bull**** and its obviously a massive part of his game.

Article from our second season in the prem proves he does of course make chances in the final third and more than that he is one of the best of it even while playing in a complete mess of a team that were bottom of the league at the time this article was written (NB does also include garbage abput where he could move onto but before anyone seizes on this- he did end up at Milan so big club signing wasn't that silly really...):

    http://www.football365.com/f365-features/8289941/The-Stats-Say-Taarabt-Could-Be-Useful...

"He seems to have become a little more unselfish in his play already this season, having created more chances this season (2.7 per game) compared to last (2.2). Only seven Premier League players can boast a better key pass rate than Taarabt this season (as can be seen on WhoScored.com's Premier League statistics page), and most of those rely on set-pieces to lay on those chances. In fact, only Steven Pienaar (2.5) and Luis Suarez (2.46) create more chances in open play on average than the Moroccan (2.33); an astounding statistic for a player at a team that have scored only ten league goals and are bottom of the table.

Taarabt has his tricky dribbling skills to call on when he needs to create space to put balls into the box, and his success rate when it comes to taking on opponents (61.4%) ranks him amongst the best in Europe's top five leagues, ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi (59.5%) and Franck Ribery (48.6%). Messi attempts 5.9 dribbles per game - compared to Taarabt's 4.9 - so it is not as if the Argentine simply tries to dribble past many more players.

That is not, of course, to say that Taarabt is anywhere near Messi's level. The end product is very much missing from the QPR youngster's game, though his dribbling skills are there for all to see".

Article from today suggests Milan do want him- issue is they are good at negotiating and can see that Redknapp and the hordes of low football intelligence moron's that follow Rangers basically want to give him away. Manager wont even bring him on tour... they are haggling for a bargain and are likely to get one!!

    http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...nches-agent-qprs-taarabt-4032354#.U9Ep229wbIU

As for the other unfounded line 'he hasn't done it at the top level'- if you put the word 'consistently' in that sentence then you would have had a point until he joined Milan. And it is a harsh person that doesn't acknowledge that Rangers both Prem seasons and Fulham last year were a mess with or woithout him.

Watch this 2 minute video of his highlights of his MOM performance at the very highest level of football a Champions League knockout game against losing finalists and La Liga Champions Athletico Madrid- the clip shows good defensive work, alround play, some skills of course, putting it on a plate for Kaka, an assist against one of the meanest defences in Europe and especially for you KPD and SAF... PASSES IN THE FINAL THIRD, ha ha

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1igZDUWO_eg

If that isn't doing it at the highest level then I'd love for SAF, KPD, or that big old Queen to explain how that isn't doing it at the highest level? And remember that wasn't the only game he had that kind of impact for Milan

Personally- I obviously think we should keep Adel. We didn't create many chances in the Championship and this cry for help from Charlie is to keep hold of someone who he can see can create chances and is proven at doing this at the highest level.

Even if we hold out for £5.5m that we are asking for. We will get £3.3m after Spurs get there chunk- so in a market where Ross McCormack costs £11m it really does seem like you lot need your head checked if you want to let our 1 and only flair player leave for that small amount of money

    Great post Damage.

The only thing I'd disagree with is not letting him go for a small amount of money. If Redknapp isn't going to play him, and all the signs are that's the case, I'd rather have the pleasure of seeing him play elsewhere than him training with the kids. But I take your point.

Probable outcome - AC Milan will get him for what many will perceive as a pittance, or he will be loaned out again.

Agree with you 100% P.D. I think an Italian team will take him at a knock down price.

I think his days with us are numbered and Harry obviously wants rid. Shame as he gave me great pleasure.

Damage, are you Taarabt's PR agent? Is your name Kia Joorabchian? Or are you his lover or summat?

You only ever pop up when someone's mugging Taarabt off. Then you disappear again for another couple of weeks.

    Its quite curious behavior.

Yeh, great post Peter. We have got a top player on our books, and a superbly entertaining one. But unfortunately a Manager who won't put in the effort to use players who need motivation, encouragement and no doubt some pandering to. If we had a Seedorf or a Colin we'd have a player who could move us well up to mid-table in the PL, and entertain. As you say unless TF puts his face in there as he should, we'll probably sell him for half the amount it'll cost us to get another creative midfield player or a striker, who only have some good form from the Championship on their CV's.

It occurred to me that perhaps Taarabt just wants to leave.

What? And pass up an opportunity to have a dig at Harry? How ridiculous!

PD, Im sure its a well researched and well put post and im sure the general gist of it is very much "Pro-Adel" (sorry i havent been able to read all yet)
Point im making is that Im sure if i went back to you tube, paper reports etc i could put together an equally damning post re Adel.
I have neither the time nor inclination to do so but Im sure you'll agree that there are also many other posts, reports and clips that make him look bad.
You were indeed correct in that i should have said "consistently", my mistake.

Facts are for what ever reason he doesnt want to be here nd our management (the only people who actually count) appear not to want him back, so from me its still very much Thanks for the memories Adel and good luck at your new club (again)! <ok>

I like the way the "pro-Adel's" have to throw personal abuse to defend their case ????

I can't disagree with much of what you say Queens, I hope Adel does get one more chance (even two or three games) but if he doesn't then I won't shed a tear if he departs or is loaned out again.

Why has this thread turned into yet another Adel thread, surely we should be looking at Charlie Austin's comments and debate where his supply is going to come from. I accept Adel would be one possibility, but what about Granero, Hoilett, Phillips, Traore or even SWP. We do have others who can create chances for Charlie and we should consider who is the best of these. IMO what it's worth, I hope it's Matt Phillips. He showed glimpses last season before his injury, so we need him back and to stay injury-free.

Thanks R4ever, some intelligent debate at last.

Great points, I too hope its Matty Phillips.

But also that Matty, Traore & Hoilett can all continue to develop in the EPL - absolutely crucial to our survival.

I hope Adel Taarabt can 'do a Joey Barton' and find his place back in the team.

Im definately a Matt Phillips fan and whilst i admit openly that the 3 of them do not have Adels talent, what they do is combine as a team and create a team that plays for each other. In our present circumstances that is my prefered option.
Maybe when we are established in the prem in a few years time, can we start looking at mavericks etc..Messi should be old enough for us by then ?

Sku, anything is possible i suppose, but i dont remember Harry putting Joey down when he had his last loan.
Sorry mate, just dont see it happening TBH
