QPR set for Andre Ayew talks

According to our colleagues at L’Equipe, QPR are set for talks over the possible transfer of Marseille attacking midfielder Andre Ayew.

The player has been in talks with AC Milan and Napoli this summer, but President Vincent Labrune is trying to offload him for around €8m.

Andre Ayew is the target of several clubs in England

English side Queens Park Rangers have joined Premier League rivals Newcastle and Chelsea in the intense fight to sign Ghana star Andre Ayew from Marseille.

The 24-year-old could be offloaded by the Stade Velodrome outfit before the transfer window closes which has sparked intense interest from top clubs in Europe.

English sides Liverpool and Arsenal have previously been linked with the Ghana star while Italian sides AC Milan and Inter Milan are said to still be in the race.

French newspaper L’Equipe say Rangers are set for talks over a possible deal for the player, with Marseille looking to sell him for around £6.3m.

The Marseille star, who is valued at £8 million by the Ligue 1 club, has been deemed surplus to requirements at Marseille, with manager Marcelo Bielsa keen to free-up transfer funds.

The 24-year-old impressed for Ghana at the World Cup this summer, scoring goals against Germany and Team USA in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the African nation.

A Liverpool supporter, the winger who can also operate as a second striker, has made no secret of his desire to move to the Premier League and while an Anfield switch looks increasingly unlikely, the Rs have emerged as contenders to capture Ayew.

QPR’s superior financial position could ultimately help them land the Ghanaian, who would undoubtedly be tempted by a move to Loftus Road and the opportunity to live in London.

Any deal could ultimately depend on Loic Remy, with the French striker continually linked with a move away from the Rs following his recall to the club after a season-long loan at Newcastle United.

Scum apparently do not meet these criteria.

He would be a great addition, only downside I can think of is he'd probably be off to ACoN from January to February and miss 5 or 6 games
