Dammit QWOP I was trying to entice Sombrero man back! Yeah we will be in the mix, makes a change, bring it on!
He also took you down after spending fortunes on wages and fees. Harry buys individuals, but cannot build a team
Never understood him getting the blame for that, if the financial plan fails the blame lies in the boardroom.
No it was Hughes & a naive owner that fcked us over. Harry built a team out that wreckage that came straight back up, no mean feat whichever way you look at it!
So it was your boards insistence then to sign Ferdinand probably on ridiculous wages? I will ask you honestly, do you think you are and have been operating within the Financial Fair Play Rules for the past 2/3 years?
I don't see how it was a 'wreckage'. Hughes hadn't got them playing, but Harry arrived with ample time to keep you up, and failed. He then had easily the strongest squad in the league and finished 4th. Fair play for him getting you back up, but surely that was a minimum requirement? I do think you've bought better this summer, I'll say that, and you aren't one of my tips to go down, despite the poor start.
Some might say lucky. I'd say we were solid and hard to score against all season & had a good team spirit, all down to what Harry built. Derby got they what deserved!
No, you got lucky and a manager admitting that he would have been off had you lost, loyalty eh? The man is a media obsessed junkie, a typical pocket lining ****-bag who loves nothing more than being in the limelight and I know that through my past working experiences. My mate above says you have bought well, I sort of agree but believe me, the wrong man is at the helm. It is all about him in his book, not about you the fans or the clubs boardroom..
At least he had the decency to give his mates at spurs a wave during Sundays drubbing What a guy
Is it really so important to you to be considered "the top non SAFC poster" that you will abandon your usually intelligent musings to spout utter rubbish like that?
I said that before you made any signings and said I was likely to change that opinion depending on who you fetched in. Where do u reckon you'd finish if you signed nobody?
There is that argument but it doesn't absolve him of all blame. He's found another owner with ambition yet no regards to financial responsibility as highlighted by the fact you were gonna be in a world of **** if Derby won that playoff.
Probably about 15th but there was never any possibility of us not signing anyone, we lost all 3 strikers on our books as well as fetching 30 million in in January.
Fair do's I didn't see anything towards the end of last season to suggest you'd be better than 5 other teams. I knew you'd make one or two signings but it's the quality and the lack of fighters I guess I was thinking May not arrive. For what it's worth I reckon you'd have a top 8 side if your manager was half decent.
