Swords, the owners are ALWAYS involved in transfers - not just with us but at every club - whenever they sign the cheques.

The issue comes when the owners try to get involved in picking the team.....

I'm sorry Willy but I disagree entirely. Of course they are involved to the extent of agreeing a fee and discussing terms etc. but they should never, in my opinion, try and dictate to the manager and his team who should be signed. Do you think the Glazer's tell Sir Alex who to sign? Do you think Wenger is instructed on which players to bring in?

Any successful Club, at least in Britain, leave the football side of things to the management team (within a certain budget of course) and concern themselves only with the financial side of things. Have you guys completely forgotten the circus that was QPR during Flavio's last "hands on" management of the Club??

That was Flav picking the playing side not influencing signings.

I have no issue with him and Neil looking over potential targets. If its to be believed it was Flav / Paladini who wanted Leds back for a second spell and Warnock vetoed it. I'm sure its working well or Warnock will walk

The answer is that management will always try to interfere with transfers (being natural control merchants) but any manager worth his salt will put them in their place, just as NW apparently did with Flavio last week

With Flav's hands on the wheel we was heading for League 1 and would still be there imho.

I beg to differ WBA. Flav and his dodgy little side kick were up to their necks in signings and in fact everything that was bad about the Club. Recipe for disaster always.

I think Faurlin was Jim Magiltons signing, he tried to get him when he was at Ipswich before us.

    Pasquale Foggia

QPR football adviser Gianni di Marzio has confirmed their interest in Pasquale Foggia.

The Lazio winger has been linked with a move to QPR this week - and Di Marzio admits he's on their radar.

He told TMW: 'I coached his father and know him well.

'He's very dynamic and one of the few players still out there capable of beating a defender one-on-one.

'We could certainly add to the squad from Italy.'

It's kicking off again! Click here for your No1 source for QPR transfer market news and gossip.

Nah, he retired earlier in the year. Romario'd probably come out of retirement for the right price though.

Or, if it's a fat South American you're after, I'm pretty sure Veron's still playing.....

sounds exactly like the player Flav and Paladini. I therefore predict that should we sign him, the official website will say:
    1) We fought off Serie A clubs like Inter Milan and Juventus for his signature
    2) Warnock will be non-descript and say he looks like interesting player having probably never seen him play
    3) We will be told he his a premiership quality player who drew interest from Arsenal and Man Utd when younger
    4) We will advertise it as saying we bought him for £2 million when we got him on a free :)
