The only worry i have about Hobbs is that he doesn't look that mobile, which is why Sven probably wouldn't include him in his plans for the Premier League (although those plans look to be on hold for another season).

He's a good, strong defensive unit though. Tall as well, and gets stuck in.

I thought he looked shaky in the first couple of games (sub anyway though wasn't he, I think?) but since then he's come into his own and settled in well.

I must be the odd one out, I actually rate Hobbs higher than Gerrard. Hobbs is very strong in a tackle and can pass a ball, Gerrards good in the air but passing is ****e, ball control ok but nothing to shout home about and for me he's slower across the ground than Hobbs.

I think Gerrards attitude is maybe better than Hobbs but I think that will come with time !

Mind you, I'll temper the above because I did say I thought Belaid would be class! Hes let me down on that prediction!

Where Olof's contract is concerned I don't think they need to be up to date, unless he's signed a shorter contract.

Good luck to Oily Vadge, he's a decent guy and a good pro, shame we couldn't have kept him for the season and loaned out Bullard from the start

to play devils advocate if they dont get promotion, they probably lose mark hudson and that other foreign fella to next seasons premiership also rans. Add to this that they also lose patience with dave jones and gerard's route back to cardiff seems a shoe in.

Haven't seen enough of Hobbs to judge him properly. Has come on as sub a few times and done well, but has only had 2/3 starts to show his true game. People forget he's only 22 - great young prospect, so I'll take it if he came in permanently. As for judgement between him and Gerrard, I'd say the later because of his consistency this season.

You're not wrong about Belaid by the way! Has potential but I don't rate him personally
