Queens Park Rangers are eyeing a move for Scottish international James Forrest, according to reports via The Scotsman.

The 24 year old pacey forward player looks set to be available after rejecting a new contract at Celtic Park, alerting a host of clubs, including QPR.

He has made over 100 appearance for the Bhoys since making his debut in 2010, and has gone on to become a regular scorer in the first team squad, with almost 30 goals to his name.

Forrest has made 16 appearances so far this season under manager Ronny Delia, and Celtic fans will be hoping he has a change of heart when it comes to his contract situation, and that they can keep hold of one of their home grown talents.

However, with QPR wanting to add to their squad as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink plans an assault on promotion next season, Forrest may find a move South too tempting to resist as he enters the best years of his career.

Other clubs are also interested in the forward, with Norwich City reportedly showing an interest as well.

Forrest is exactly the kind of player we should have been looking to sign for the last three or four seasons.

I doubt he'll come to us but you never know.

100 games in 6 years !!

Sandro £10m 28 games ( 2 as sub ) 1 goal in two years.

Granero £9m 25 games ( 5 as sub ) 1 goal in two years.

Forrest 128 games ( 62 as sub ) and 30 goals in six years and wouldn't cost a fraction of the above and only 24.

Anyone on here good at maths?

Difficult, but from reading the Celtic fans comments about him he is an over rated crock, and if they are right he is an over rated crock playing in a **** league. Could just be sour grapes, not really heard much about him previously so I will remain impartial.

I have seen him play live a few times. Good little player with a good work rate and has no problem tracking back. Only problem is his injury record, but has played in a lot of big matches for Celtic.

On a free, on reasonable wages, with his best years in theory ahead of him, I think it's well worth a punt from what I've seen of him.

But Sandro was brilliant. Harry said so. Granero was brilliant. Mark Hughes said he had been told he was by that well known talent spotter, Kia Joorabchian. Both said that 'He' s always been reliable for me'. How could a club as massive as we were possibly not sign them up immediately after those recommendations.
