I really, really hope that, if Bale does go, you sell him to anyone other than Real Madrid. The way they've gone about courting him has been so classless (as the normally are, to be fair).

I hope that Levy gets a call from the owners of either PSG or Monaco in the next day or so...

However, if he stays, is there any chance we could loan or buy Townsend again? The boy is class.

There is no way QPR would get Townsend.

Is pushing Lennon for a first team place. It might be worth a pop at Sigurdsson though - or Carroll on loan.

I'd love us to sell Bale to Barca <ok>

Smith's a right-back but he's been loaned to Derby, where he's getting no game time at all, for some reason.
Should be recalled and sent out somewhere else. Total waste of time, so far.

I'm surprised that Premiership clubs don't throw a clause into loans like that, where the player has to be the preferred choice if fit...

The idea would then cause the loaning club to not want to pay any kind of loan fee so I think the club sending the player out just try and find the right match and often develop partnerships and preferences off the back of that. Swindon seem to be our favoured League One club at the moment with tonnes of our players joining them on loan and on frees.

Spurcat said the other day though that 'Arry rated Smith highly(as does the current coaching staff) but that Sherwood fell out with him and at that time was in charge of deciding where our players go. Sounds a bit like he just decided not to let 'Arry get a player he wants.

Yeah Real are one of the worst for being ****s about transfers but they're all up to it. United and Chelsea regularly put in embarrassingly low bids to try to unsettle a player. The latter only just realised that a £30mill player was worth bidding for once we'd flown him in, done a medical with him and were just hours away from signing for us. Now Mourinho's basically telling Rooney to put in a transfer request.

It's a lack of class.
