QPR defender made Major League Soccer debut last night

QPR defender Niko Hämäläinen made his debut for Los Angeles FC last night.
The 22-year-old joined the Major League Soccer on a six-month loan deal last month and came off the bench for them yesterday.
LAFC, who are managed by former Swansea City boss Bob Bradley, beat Real Salt Lake 2-1 at the Banc of California Stadium to build on their impressive start to the season.
Niko Hämäläinen is hoping to help them make the Play-Offs in this campaign and gain as much first-team experience as possible.
He was born in Florida but represents Finland at international level. The youngster started his career in America with a spell at FC Dallas before moving over to England to join QPR in September 2014. He made his first-team debut for the Hoops in a league game against Fulham in October 2016 and has since made five more appearances.
Hämäläinen also had a brief loan spell at Dagenham and Redbridge in 2015. His chances in QPR’s senior squad have been limited so a move back to America is a great opportunity for him.
LAFC are unbeaten in their first four games this season having won three and drawn once. They currently lie top of the Western Conference. With the way it has gone so far, Hämäläinen could have the chance to get his hands on some silverware during this loan spell.
