Is Zamora good enough to get stuck on a 4-5 year deal at 60k a week and someone we will never be able to offload a la SWP?

Hes a below average PL CF who would be ok for a loan but would cripple us for years.

We don't need both of them??.. Wake up and smell the coffee, we need at least two, decent strikers!. Elino- you're spot on- Zamora is not pacy and is a target man. Cisse is lightening quick and runs off the defenders. Can't believe some of you posters saying you don't want Cisse and you dnt rate Zamoro??.. Absolute load of crap!. Who exctly are are you expecting??. Ronaldo or Messi?. Prbly still find a negative with those two!. Grrr

If Zamora is a much better finisher than HH, why has he got 7 goals in 29 apps to HH 9 goals in 18 games?

Hes worse than HH and a massive waste of money if the £8m reported fee is true.

Flyer be realistic. HH has been playing with injuries after not even training. We cant rely on him to stay fit and the alternatives of Hulse and Macheda are nowhere near good enough.

Helguson is in the form of his life and Zamora has been a consistent premier league player for a number of years. He is also having problems with Jol which will have impacted his current form.

Let Fernandes and Mittal worry about what they can afford. Hughes know’s him well from his time at Fulham and while Warnock’s eye for a striker was questionable Hughes no doubt is an expert in this area

Also it is not a panic buy. I said on a different thread after the Wigan game that Eric Walters his agent was at the game and that not to rule this transfer out. All that’s changed is Fulham have got another frontman in and are now a little more keen to offload a player that the manager has clashed with.

Nowhere near good enough, this will be a panic buy of someone who has averaged 5 goals a season for Fulham.

This will do long term damage to the club if we get him.

He is not better than HH and just buying someone slightly "better" and giving them a huge contract is not the way forward, especially when they are over 30 and have been proven a failure. Rob Hulse could get 5 goals a season if he started enough games, same with Bothroyd.

Would you give Wayne Bridge a 5 years, 80k a week contract? After all, hes better than what we have.

Does no-one get it. Zamora gets a huge amount of assists. He links the play up brilliantly. We got Cisse to score goals and now we are going for someone too help him get the chances. Zamora isn't about the goals!

On BBC that we have agreed around £4million for Zamora, only thing that will stop the move is our old fave 'personal terms' if he is too greedy then he stays at Fulham. Not worth a 4 year contract at £50k a week, not by a long shot.

If he drops his wage demands and reduces the expected length of contract then it might look like better business.

No, just someone who doesnt think we should pay top wages for old, below average players or we will be up the creek with SWP, Barton, Zamora, Cisse all on massive wages in their mid 30s and none of them are even that good.
Is anyone ok with this if its true?

Bobby Zamora is asking for £90,000 a week to join Queens Park Rangers from Fulham with the striker currently earning around £45,000, according to a highly placed source at Craven Cottage.

Fulham's price for Zamora is a basic of £7m rising to £9m when add-ons including his appearances, performances, and whether he can help Queens Park Rangers avoid relegation are factored in.

However, QPR are not prepared to pay Zamora much more than what he is currently earning at Fulham with their valuation also markedly less than that of their west London neighbours.

The striker who has had his differences with Martin Jol, the Fulham manager, this season and would welcome a move to enhance his chances of selection for this summer's European Championship.

Zamora played under QPR's manager Mark Hughes last season, scoring seven goals in 16 games in all competitions for Fulham. The 31-year-old penned a new four-year deal at Craven Cottage during Hughes's reign, tying him to the west London club until 2014.

I am still in shock people believe HH is better than Bobby Zamora. He got Fulham to the Europa league final on his own, was plagued by injuries last season and this season has come back very strong and is involved in the majority of Fulham's goals. We're going to be playing two strikers up front now, and HH does not fit that role at all

I like Bobby Z, and I think him and Cisse up top will do a good job. That said, I hope its not for the £8 million reported. That seems extremely steep. Barrios was available for that.....

Involved in the majority of goals? Fulham scored 28 goals and Zamora has 5 goals and 5 assists. Would you like to revise your statement?
