Seriously? This is as bad as friends, family and therapists telling a drug/alcohol addict/abuser that everything's OK, go on, and thereby ENABLING the whole thing, to carry on as if nothing's wrong. If you don't put pressure on the geezer he'll do exactly that - carry on the same way as if everything's rosy, without ever seeing results and left wondering why.
