I wonder though if that will be partially a PR excercise to keep the traveling fans happy or because he's justified it in training. Make no mistake, If we lose and AT isnt on the bench then Harry will get crucified by many posters on many sites. I wonder if it has an element of upholding his reputation or not (Arry's) as someone who listens to the crowd ? Be intresting to see how this pans out !
C'mon Sheff, that's unfair. Some of us have been doubting him since the moment we arrived in the Premier League.
Can't agree with you entirely Swords. Yes, Adel rarely seems to perform at a consistently high-level over a sustained period, but I also think he was instrumental in our survival last season, and could still play an important role this season. There's little doubt that he has pulled a few strops, but I hope HR can bring him back into the fold like he did with Boswinga, though this is also down to Adel. There's still a place for him the match day squad, even if he's not a first pick at the moment.
I agree with most of that husky esp the part about him being on the bench. He just aint consistant enough to take Townsends place right now, but maybe, if we get desperate and need a bit of magic.give him a go and its 50/50 he may pull something out of the bag (or he may not!) Id have him and Mackie as 2 impact subs. No defence that has played 60 mins against Remy, Townsend & Zamo is gonna fancy those 2 coming on fresh? Or then again they may enjoy the slower pace ? Still think (Hope) he may contribute something at the pointy end of the season, just been let down so many times before. One thing is for sure, unless he's done something amazing in training, bench is the best he can hope for at the moment. And i for one cannot disagree that.
It will be very interesting to see the selection tomorrow. I get the feeling HR is his own man and would not pander to PR exercises
On the train home. If you can't see what he adds to this team then you are the one with your head in the sand.
He did well when he came on apart from over doing the DIY-ing again when he should have squared it. But as Shearer said tonight: "doing it for 10 minutes every 15 games is not enough"
He was poor again today wasn't he Nines? I wouldn't blame him for all three like some of the lads were but he should have kept the second one out.
Lol, I thought I could get a bite from ya lad. Your right though he was poor for the second. I'm trying to find some humour on the board tonight. There are a lot of regulars missing tonight, that was a hard result to stomach. It is hard to post on here tonight. I was out at a top top restaurant this evening with some lovely food ( Michelin 2 star ) but it was ruined for me by today's result. The people with me sensed there was something wrong, as I wasn't my usual jovial self. I would of felt a bit of an idiot saying it was because QPR lost. It tends to get you like that. So I told them that my mum was really ill and I was worried for her. She has a bad cold by the way. So not too far from the truth.
Not sure if thats aimed at me but remind me again...did he come on and set the world alight and win us the game then ...?
