    Watford in peace... honest!!

There is a rumour going around that Danny has rejected Swansea, but it is just that, a rumour. He has flown to Dubai today for a holiday, so guess we won't know what's going on for a while. I'd suggest QPR would be the better move for him - not just because he wouldn't have to up-sticks too far, but would say you would have the better chance of staying up!

As for working with Rodgers, as someone mentioned, Rodgers had already gone by the time Danny came in. He signed about a month after, I think, although expect Rodgers had some say about signing him.

There is also a rumour WBA will come back and match the Swansea bid too... so I guess from a Watford point of view, we would look for incentives in which to choose, but our board as stupidly already shown our hand by accepting £3.5m (amateurs!).

As for wages... at the point he was signed, we had brought in a £5k a week wage cap, so anything you offer will be signficantly more!!

    Good luck next season!

There is something else that hasn't been mentioned by anyone yet, and could well work in our favour.

I can't find anywhere whether he is married, and whether he has any kids. It may well be that he would prefer not to move house due to family reasons, which would of course benefit us over any of the other interested parties.....

With you on that one North. 'Shakey' Connolly's one foot short of a penalty at the best of times... and aging Materazzi doesn't embue me with much confidence either.
