You're probably right though, the threads will continue. I can see us following him very closely at wherever he ends up. It will be a kind of group-stalking of an unrequited love.
I've mostly just ignored the Taarabt stuff...it's just annoying...but can some one answer one question that keeps on playing in mind which means I just don't get the whole scenario. Who benefits from Taarabt putting in no effort and not showing a willingness to muck it and get on with the job? I mean, if someone wants a promotion at work (which in my mind is essentially what wanting to play for a big European club is), they work twice as hard, put in the extra hours and do everything they can to deserve a promotion. If Taarabt wants to move to a bigger club...surely he should be playing his socks off to look good, and end up at the best club he possibly can. This means we get to benefit from his abundant skill and talent, and he will get interest from the best clubs. As it is, I cannot understand how any big club in their right mind would think, 'lets go out and spend 5-10 million on that player from QPR who shone in the Championship, but has just been lazy and ineffective in the top flight.' I just don't get it...rant over.
Why did George Best Drink and throw away his career? Totally agree with your post. In my job i work hard as i can to get better and make myself feel proud of the work i do yet some people just don't have the drive or think they don't need to work at it. For every me and you i guess there is an Adel.
He did his job,got us out of the championship, fantastic ability, a real showman, but his attitude stinks, sell him and move on,we are bigger than Adel Tarrabt, let someone else deal with the tantrums,
This is actually great news. If the management are no longer pandering to this pathetic brat, It must mean that they must have someone lined up to replace him. I expect to see a surprising and significant signing come January. I've already started thinking of Taarabt in the past tense. If he doesn't want to play for us, then good riddance to him. Tallah Taarabt.
That's because you're an old grouch Whatever is said about him, he's propelled us back into the big league and helped reinvigorate the club. No PL football, no TF et al.
It sounds like we'll not see him play for us again, which is very sad as far as I'm concerned. I would have liked to see him thrown on as an impact sub against WBA, and I don't see why we shouldn't be making use of him whilst he's still here... Hey-ho though, in Neil we trust.
Agree with Dave & Ellers, Very sad looking at that video like many gifted people in this world he has talent to throw away, what some footballers would do for just half of he's genius. What a waste i really hope he comes good and I for one will follow his career and see if he makes it, good luck Adel you need it together with a bit of application.
Sad it did happen the way it did, he would have been the next Marsh or Bowles, a true legend if he only had put in one decent good season for us in the PL. Now we will see him as that good skilled and talented young man who played an impressive role in our rise to the PL. Hope for him he will come to some common sense and grows up very soon otherwise he will spend much time on the bench or the stands for another club. Compare him to another blessed younger kid like Wilshire who is much younger and who looks more mature already.
Very sad, but the club is bigger than any individual, and if it's best he moves on so be it. Good luck Adel loved some of the skills you've shown us and thanks for helping make us Champions.
In the "old days" it was down to the club manager to get the best out of young players and protect them from pitfalls (sex, drugs, rock'n'roll and the scum tabloid writers). These days players come with their own entourage of personal managers, agents, hangers-on, etc, who don't let the club manager have that much access or influence. Some players are not settled. Their team of "advisers" want them to move on very quickly thus creating another pay day. Some players can handle that. They can play well for a club for 18 months then move on and do it again somewhere else. Taarabt, like the many others, will never be one of them. His "people" will get what they can whilst they can and then aniother young player will come along and Adel will be find himself out on a limb with all the debris of a wrecked career trailing behind him.
No-one but he don't get that. The reason is simple: I am as convinced about this as I am that there's a heart in my body beating. Tarbs is slightly mentally ******ed. It explains why everyone at the Club from Management through staff through players have been prepared to put up with so much from him. He has a mental disability and has had to be treated like a special case. I guarantee you here and now and I'll never post on this forum again if I'm wrong, that sooner or later that fact will emerge and will explain everything.
a footballers career is short........AT should grasp every opportunity handed to him and thank fook he found a manager in NW who managed (for 1 season) to get the best out of him, believed in him and gave him at stage on which to perfrm, changing a formation in the process. Maybe he should ask to look at DVD's of players with skill, attitude and application - as has already been mentioned Stanley, Rodney, Zola (I will even admit to going to his testimonial with my nephew at stamford bridge as I wanted my nephew to see him before he stopped playing), Tony Currie, Ryan Giggs etc etc etc to see if maybe....just maybe he can learn and appreciate the undoubted skill and talent he has. Ijust hope he doesn't go down the George Best way and squander a god given talent
i thought warnok said adel has been training hard for the last 2 weeks. he even came in on hes day off. for what. a good manager would use him when u need him. imagine if he came on last week you might have won. so your going to seel him at a big loss.
Chelsea Half a billion spent and you just...only just...get out of a group containing Genk, Leverkusen and Valencia (30% possession, lol you "big club" you), and you ain't even gonna finish in the top 5 this season. Rest assured we'll be here waiting for you whenever you play, and lose, to someone decent. Chelsea Actually edit to say we'll be here waiting when you lose to anybody.
