A fantastic view of QPR over recent years, interesting that the maim crest used was the currant one, not that thats not a good idea, just thought it would have been the 70`s, the most iconic IMO, anyone know if we can purchase a print ?
I don't understand why she chose to set aside a third of her picture to accommodate a row of terraced houses and a burger fan. This space could've been used for more of the stadium/pitch, couldn't it?
I enjoyed reading this post about my work re. http://louisacookson.com/folio.asp?folioID=33 Even the brutally honest negative comments too! I appreciate any sort of feedback and I'm glad that the print has found some recognition! I only did it after going to a game with my dad (who is sketched in to the crowd in front of Bill Bailey) and he suggested that the stadium would make a good illustration! Anyway, just thought I'd log on and say hello! Louisa Cookson.
Yes, you can buy through my website at www.louisacookson.com So nice to read this thread, as brutal as it was in parts! It's good to hear some honest reaction to my work! But I'm glad most of you seem to have enjoyed it. It was done purely because I went to a game with my dad and he suggested that I do it and see what happens...
Welcome to the board Louisa. Great work and love the vivid colours - especially the Blue and White of course! With the offer to sketch people into the picture, would that be like a recognisable caricature?? Are there plans for new paintings with QPR and different teams?
Hello Rangers Til I Die (wish I had thought up a better board name now!). Yes, they are very recognisable portraits (I think). See here and then scroll to the left: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...353.1073741830.609945849034490&type=1&theater There are also little testimonials at the top of my facebook page which tell you about other people's experience of the 'GET SKETCHED IN' process, It's really straight forward. https://www.facebook.com/pages/louisacooksoncom/609945849034490
Swords they are there, although they are painted!!!!! If you look on Louise's web site you can scroll over the pictures and it is enlarged so you can look in greater detail.....impressive facility....
Ah, so that's how COL found them. He was kinda letting on he seen them in the original picture. He's a bit of a chancer that bloke
If you knew what some of our past players looked like you'd be able to make some of them out without going to the website.
