Yes, there definitely must be something in this given that Connolly got the nod in front of Gorkss on Saturday. Based on last season's performances that was a strange choice indeed. I haven't seen anything in Gabbidon to place him above Kaspar's either and one-size will be injured soon enough so NW would seem to be really sticking his neck out should this be true. There must surely have been some kind of falling out.

Looks like it, shame as we all agree he is a good defender and will do a job for us even if it's back up, but maybe that is where the falling out is, he doesn't want to be back up!

Pff... Gorkss is so much better than Perone. I don't know why this is happening.

Hopefully for Saints, this deal is sorted out quickly! Really don't know what Warnock sees in Puncheon TBH, other then a complete ****.

Can't get my head around this one. He was our best defender last year. This is a bad move if true.

To QPR fans the rumour-mill here is that Saints tried to do the deal with Gorkss a couple of weeks ago but the problem was he wanted to take his chance in the Premiership. From what I have read about him - he has consitently been one of your best players and was key to you promotion success last season.

If we can off-load Puncheon to you in an exchange; seriously - had we not got the Gunners to fork out £12M + £3M add-ons for Oxo - I would say this a swap Gorkss with Puncheon was the best transfer deal of the season for us!

We haven't had a bad deal this time round!

    Cork for £750k
de Ridder for £2m or something?
    Fox for £1.7/1.8m

All signings of the season, definitely!

You are right Conman in what you have written - we have had some fantastic deals - suppose what I am trying to communicate is to get rid of Puncheon and replace him with known a quality player in a position that we all agree needs boosting is so positive.

I still can't get my head around why Warnock wouldn't want Gorkss at QPR?! He was solid last season and he surely deserves a chance in the Premiership. The only thing I can think of is that something's happened behind the scenes, like a falling out between Gorkss and Warnock or something? It just seems very strange, QPR fans are probably baffled the most.

I think Warnock feels he doesn't have the pace for the Premiership. I wouls say he deserves a shot just off the back of his performance last year and yes it's a great deal for the Saints.Byu the way impressive start for you boys as well especially the style of football your playing, 20/1 at the beginning of the season for promotion I told my better half it was worth a punt (She's a Saints supporter, it's not her fault)

I'd rather lose Connolly or ****tu than Gorkss, shame if he goes!
Why are you Saints fans hating Puncheon so much?

As sorry as I feel for Gorkss, and I know we all want him to have a chance, I think maybe now is the time to let him go because as things stand we all love him and appreciate how well he played last year, but if we were to give him his chance I think we would all start to hate him pretty quickly. We all know that he is a good strong CB but he is sadly lacking in pace and would get roasted on a constant basis in the PL. Better to have loved and lost and all that, but I'm sure he'll do a job for Southampton.

I'm just surprised that we are still being linked with Puncheon now that the sale of the club has gone through. If it is true and we do sign him then it really does go down in the category of "In Warnock we trust" signings, especially as this week we're being touted as the likely buyers of absolutely everyone.

Good to see Southampton doing well, hope you guys come up.
