We were trounced today. We offered nothing, deserved nothing and got nothing. A bad day at the office, our slim play off hopes are now extinguished.Mid table is now confirmed before the summer cull. We’ll done to QPR, on the day they turned us over big time.
I doubt that even Laudrup could make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear given the fire-sale that took place at the start of the season and the (lack of) finance being made available by the owners.....
Well I had the misfortune of standing in the front row right behind the Swans goal and that 1st 15 mins was painful. Their plan was obviously to press us hard and we helped by playing suicidal football.
That’s the price of trying to play beautiful football. We’ve been coping with high pressing teams recently and played some great stuff.Today we didn’t cope and it was ugly to watch, but that’s the result when we play high risk football and it goes tits up
Credit has to go to QPR today....3 goals to the good after 15 minutes and we could not complain about any of them......The shell shocked players were never going to come back after that.....These games happen when you least expect it and the only thing i could put it down to is the players were to complacent after the last few games we played.....We had plenty of possession in the end but only 1 shot on target to QPR's 7 where they scored 4 goals....It was a bad day at the office and lessons will have been learned. At least we are safe this season and potter should be playing those players who may be considered for next season to give them a taste of first team football as we have nothing to lose doing that now...
I was contemplating Ipswich but those tractor boys will probably be playing care free football now they are down.
