On paper this looks like an easy win however we've had 3 energy sapping games in the past 2 weeks and we are without I'd would say our 2 most important players in terms of how we play. I would imagine that will be Luongo and Ladapo coming in. Time for someone else to prove their worth, not sure we would've expected to be were we are with our second choice goals keeper playing for half a season.
I get what you're saying PTC but they too have played the same amount of games and I would say it's a lot harder if you're in a relegation battle!! Listening to their fans, they appear to be pretty poor at the moment, so even with no Hirst or Morsy.....this should be 3 points!!
Think this will be a tough game, even though on paper it should be straightforward. Hirst will be a big loss, not for his goals, but his movement off the ball attracts defenders away, which our "other" three forward players benefit from. Assuming he starts with Freddie, he's a lot more static than Hirst, but does pull out a good game now and then. The loss of Morsy, is not as significant, as I think Taylor would be quite adequate against QPR (even Ball if he's picked). Surely Williams needs to come in as well. So, as I said, tough game, but think we'll scrape a 1-0 win - Taylor screamer
Just had a look at QPR board and theres a post on there saying the only thing Ipswich is known for is inbreeding and the killing of prostitutes, a few think its funny which is disappointing.
Inbreeding?? Obviously geography is not his strong point. If it was he'd know that Ipswich is not in Norfolk.....
Watching Southampton v Plymouth at the moment, can't work out if Southampton are really good or it's the fact that Plymouth are really poor!!
That line up doesn’t fill me with the greatest confidence. Davis, Morsy, Burns, and Hirst all absent (Davis and Burns failed fitness test apparently, they’re not even on the bench). Changing my prediction to a 1-1 draw.
Broadie out too, so 8 changes! Get going early, score that all important 1st goal. Bring on Aluko for a cameo magesterial spell 2nd half.
This is a big evening for the squad players. Ladapo in particular could stake a claim for first team football before we get the new face(s) in up front. Williams and Harness could stake regular first team appearances with good displays tonight.
