Noble Mission will be lucky to be in the first 10 home if he runs in the Derby. He had to win impressively yesterday to be considered a derby contender, but he struggled home, against some very average horse's.* Camelot is going to be hard to beat in the Derby, as his breeding tells us he will stay 1m4, and he's already proven in the RP trophy and Guineas that he has the gears to beat top class horse's at a mile. So I don't see any chinks in his armour. Plus the fact the rest of the entries look very average on the form they've shown thus far, I just hope something comes out of the trials that can give Camelot a race *
Completely disagree re Noble Mission Shergar. The margin of victory was small but I was impressed with the way he did it. He had a truly terrible trip, didn't settle early, but the instant that gap came he was through and away to win with something in hand. I don't think he's going to be beating Camelot either but he is more than worth his place in the field after that performance in a decent field. I don't think they were 'very average horses' but I thought he was comfortably the best.
