Not going to lie I would ****ing love it. That said I am happy with the way the club is being run at the minute too. Just a happy toon fan I guess.

I don't know, even though it would probably mean assured success, especially when you think how much stronger our team is compared to the City team before their investment, so £200 million of transfer funds to build around Krul, Colo, Cabaye, Tiote, HBA and Cisse think it's fair to say we would win at least something. But I don't know it would just feel dirty and don't think I'd want to be seen as a plastic club like Chelsea and City are

Really? You do realise that your owner has more money than our owners? We are trying to rebuild rather than buy the title...failing badly unfortunately. <laugh>

We could do with Alan Carr's dad though. <ok>

I'm sure if we sell our best players and stuggle for top ten next season peoples opinions of this would change, however I'm hoping we keep buidling and am happy with what we have for the next year to find out which way were going.

rebuild rather than buy the title? You realise you've just chucked money at every hyped up English player you could buy? Sounds a lot like trying to buy success to me.

Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Adam - All not worth half what you payed for each other them,

I don't really care who owns the club but I like the current business model. Teams like Chelsea and City may have big money but any glory gained from it is pretty empty and everyone knows it.

Maybe we won't win so much with the current model but at least it's still a real club.

I think the football club should represent the city and the fans. Therefore no.

If we spent £500m and won the FA Cup, that'd be kinda cool but if we continued developing talent (even if we sell some on) and value teamwork over pricetags and managed to win a cup... Newcastle would explode with pride! <ok>

Don't think that they would be dumb enough to buy a club in the PL when there's already 5 teams competing on the long term for just 4 CL places. They're more likely to buy in the Spanish or French league where there isn't a Big 4 ...

Good shout! The owners of Southampton Reading and QPR all have targets of becoming a Top 4 club through spending, now unless Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs, Liverpool (and arguably ourselves) suddenly up sticks and leave then it's going to be a waste of money trying to catch up.

Although there's not as much room for returns, with what's going on in Scotland right now I'd see Motherwell as a great investment.

    - Wouldn't cost loads
    - One of the few financially healthy clubs in the league (no urgent restructuring needed
    - Have Champions League football
    - A major rival, Rangers will be at a disadvantage for at least the next few seasons
    - Though attendances are low, the potential fanbase is reasonable. With increased success it could easily reach the 20k mark or more
    - Fir Park has room for expansion
    - The SPL still has an increased commercial pull over relative leagues thanks to the Old Firm, making the league more competitive would increase interest/TV money
    - In terms of Europe, easier access than in bigger leagues.

Even a budget of £50m for transfers over 3 years could turn Motherwell into a title-challenging, attractive club who can be competitive in Europe (which in turn raises profile).

If the Qatais are really ambitious they should do something like this rather than investing in the increasingly closed shops of England and Spain. <ok>
