My concern isn't about the fact that they're arab, it's about them coming from abroad, coming into the club and treating it like a toy, basically how Mike Ashley has.

I would rather get someone in that knows the local area and the passion of the fans.

 

They brought in Formica, Santa Cruz on loan and Jones on loan. Phil Jones had a buy out clause of £16.5m so they had to sell him at that price and Samba would no matter who was owning/managing the club because Arsenal are in for him

It's not racist. All i said was i don't want Arabs in charge of my club.

I'm saying i don't want them in charge of my club because they probably will treat it like a toy, not simply because they are Arabs.

EDIT - My argument was against foreign arabs, because they are not local and therefore probably no nothing about the fans or the passion.

 

Venky's are hardly at the billionaire level of the Qatar royal family though. When you haven't got the backing of a Sheikh then it becomes crucial that you have advisors that understand the sport and can help you make the right decisions, but when you have enough money to blow you can afford to make a couple of wrong decisions along the way and you'll keep improving regardless of the dodgy decisions (See Man City). Look at how Malaga and PSG will progress under Arabian owners.

 

OK, first of all I dont know where you got that Ben Arfa is an Arab from. He's French-Tunisian, and a Muslim, if that's what you were confused about.

Also these Qatari's probably dont even exist, and yet they will "treat the club like a toy"? Based on what, exactly?

 

Hmmm, i see your point. All i would want is an owner that would give us money and show some sign of acknowledgement of the fans and their feelings. But if they don't care about the good fortune of the club at all and don't care about the fans, they could just build it up, sell it's assets and players until they've made a profit, and then **** off, even if the club is in a **** state because of them.

 

It's not because they are arabs, it's because they're foreign mainly, and what do they know about NUFC or even football for that matter?

However, i assume they are good business men with alot of money, so aslong as they are an improvement over Ashley, i'll forget their background or origin, and settle for the fact that they're rich and perhaps willing to invest into the club.

So i'm sorry if i hurt anyone's feelings, but i care about my club and don't want to see it abused.

 

Because you where saying you didn't want massive financial security and possibly for the club to be one of the best in the nation and your only real argument was:

Now, you completely ignored the fact that Man City have gained HUGE success from there new Arab owners and even supported Mike Ashley who is a god awful owner and has no passion for the club whatsoever and ZERO connection to the fans and claimed that's what you fear with foreign owners. Find me a single Newcastle fan who thinks that Ashley is there for them and that he loves the club (an intelligent fan). You can't. I would welcome with open arms a foreign ownership deal if they where packed with cash.

Yes you're right mate. Sorry. I'm just going to naturally be extremely picky about who our next owner is because of the **** one we have now. For once i'd like to have an owner that gives a **** about the fans and shows his passion for the club, rather than a fat bastard that loves the smell of his own farts, like the last few owners we've had.

 

All this stuff about not caring or understanding about the club - that's a Mike Ashley description. He is still a terrible owner.
