Never seen a goal scored at Wembley celebrated like that. Hard to jump up and down yelling 'goaaaaal' when your senses are all saying wtf!

I remember feeling bullish about it.

I never thought a Lee Bowyer team would lose to that.

At the time the own goal was scored there were few signs that Sunderland were going to be so poor, and get poorer as the match went on.
I think it was around half time that I thought we were going to win eventually.

English Cricket condemned in a report as
    racist :emoticon-0104-surpr
    Sexist:emoticon-0104-surpr
    Classist:emoticon-0104-surpr
    Elitist:emoticon-0113-sleep

For over two centuries Cricket has been played by the privileged pinnacle of a society which was unashamedly all of those things.
    The expression "Gentlemen and players" comes from an era when there were two kinds of Cricketers;
Gentlemen (the upper class & nobility) and Players (talented cricketers from the middle classes, respected for their skill but looked down upon due to their social status).

I hear the annual Eton vs Harrow game at Lords is to be scrapped.
    Outrageous! :emoticon-0121-angry
What's elitist about that? They'll be cancelling the Boat Race next...<bubbly>

    :1980_boogie_down:Glad Wimbledon is over.
<ok> Glad the Russkies and their lackeys didn't win anything (as far as I know anyway). Disgrace that they were allowed back at all.
<applause> Glad Novax lost at last.

Just heard on the radio that a Saudi football Club no-one has ever heard of has bid £259 million to get Mbappe from PSG.

That is beyond obscene for one player.
FIFA should do something to protect World Football from the poison of unlimited cash being poured in.
Especially from a country with no regards for Human rights, gender equality or freedom to practice any religion.

Sadly what I expect FIFA will do, is take bigger back-handers than ever before and award the next available World Cup Finals to Saudi Arabia.

Couldn't agree more, and I'm no fan of FIFA, but what can they do realistically?
I find myself watching non league over here. Tgere's still money here and there, but not these obscene amounts.
