I've got to give some credit to the Torygraph, for once, for digging up this story and telling it about right. It is absolutely disgusting. How long are people going to let FIFA make a mockery of the world's greatest sport for fun and profit?

(For the forseeable future at least, I know, I know...)

It's sort of funny to think that all the European leagues are going to completely rearrange their schedules and upset millions of fans so that FIFA can get their bribes. A more rational approach would have the leagues pay the bribes to FIFA to not have to play the world cup in the winter.

  2. The Torygraph also broke the MP's expenses scandal - so they do appear to be generally on the side of the Angels as far as public corruption is concerned. (The leaked document landed in their lap as I recall, but they still ran with the story)

Trouble is that FIFA is such an apparently corrupt institution that it will take a darn sight more than this (latest) allegation against Warner to actually make a difference. For one, they will say that he has already been removed from post etc etc.
