Australia, as did all bidders for the 2022 World Cup, signed acceptance with FIFA "that format and dates for the competition remain subject to the final decision of the FIFA Organising Committee". So don't fancy Australia getting anywhere with legal action. We spent A$44 Million on the bid( taxpayers money) and still have never had a full breakdown of how the Football Federation of Australia spent the money to come up with 1 vote in the bid.
It's all just another sorry nail in the coffin of the professional game of football. There is no way that Blatter has not got this pinned down; his thick skin will take the abuse and criticism, and then he will move on with his plans, as he always does. Reminds me of a certain Egyptian owner; welcome to the future of your club - success at any cost and a finger up to the paying public.
England's 2018 bid only got 1 vote too and everyone agreed it was an excellent bid. FIFA were going out of their way to say how great they thought our bid was in the build up to voting yet both world cups went to obscure nations with nothing to do with football and obvious problems with the tenders.
The number of votes any nation got wasn't a reflection on their bid. Regarding Blatter and Platini. They're expected to meet over the next FIFA presidency. Probably a "Blatter: Let me have one more term in power then it's yours. Platini: Deal."
well this farce of a WC is gonna clash with Winter Olympics so it will have to be held in November. if the competition is moved Quatar will sue. WTG Sepp you short sighted twat.
