The streaming guy has switched to Schalke v Cologne. Thanks for that. Nice to know in these dark and troubled days there is still room for compassion.
Well deserved win for Bolton, we never really created chances. If we do not take on new staff we will go down without doubt.
FT Q.P.R 0-4 BWFC Great win, top of the league, good set up for some hard fixtures. What more could we ask for
I thought BBC's prediction of 12th was nice We'll go for Europe under Owen Coyle, that's the positive attitude that he seems to generates for the players and the fans. The result of the game has told us two things. Bolton going forward as a club, and Q.P.R has some work to do
After one game last season in the premier league Blackpool were top after a 4-0 away win and they got relegated but the team that they beat on that day stayed up, so it would be wise not to for get that. History has a habit of repeating itself.
For those with memories long enough, the first game of 1976-77 the year after we finished 2nd, we lost 4-0 at home to Everton who were no great shakes...
A lot will be said of QPR but can I be the first to congratulate Bolton. I don't care who you are going away from home on the opening day of the season and winning that emphatically is some achievement No disrespect to either side but I never anticipated that scoreline. I was wary of QPR's defence judging by what I've seen from them in the Championship but to concede that many goals to a side that doesn't travel well isn't good. This will be a long season for QPR, I feel this promotion may have come a season or two too early but we'll see. What Wigan had going for them last season was that sense of unpredictability, they may have lost to Blackpool but they more than made up for it by winning at WHL in the way they did, from then on they pushed on. Traditionally Wigan ALWAYS end the season well which is why they have survived as long as they have, they went on a four game unbeaten run which was their season best. Looking at QPR's last 4 games: Tottenham (H) Chelsea (A) Stoke (H) Man City (A) I think if QPR are to stay up they will need to be relatively secure come Mid April because teams like Chelsea, Spurs and City will be in top form by then.
After today, where Q.P.R didn't score against a side that leaks goals away from home, I think they will go down, unless they make some significant improvements in defence and sort out their attack. It sounds like Q.P.R have a good attack force but that didn't show on the score sheet did it?
