What a silly comment. All you have to do is look at the Rs performances since he came in to see he has made a difference. As well as that, look at his managerial record. He has been around for a while now and has been at the top end of English football for a large % of his career...
Sorry, I wouldn't normally post now as tensions are high etc but I just found the Swansea fan blaming Redknapp bizarre. It's almost as if they want an excuse to blame him. Thought you boys were very unlucky today. I felt the same when Iniesta scored "that" goal against us. Have to win all 6 games now but it can be done. Everton are not all that and Stoke are awful. Arsenal can be got at on the tight pitch
With all respect, I don't wish to involve myself in petty arguments on here. We'll just have to agree to disagree. If you want me to explain myself further then contact me on here, otherwise it's for the best that us R's fans stick together at times like this.
Sorry DL, but surely Harry couldn't cope with Jol's tactics in the 1st half on Monday? We battered them all 1st half, then gave away a silly goal because our player slipped. That changed the momentum of the game, not Harry's tactics. For all their possession in the 2nd half, QPR didn't create much in the way of clear chances, and We should have had 2 clear penalties, one for the Bosingwa blatant handball and the other when Karagounis was pulled down when clear. As for Sidwell's red card, I thought Remy's was just as bad today, but he only got a yellow.
I agree with you on Remy's tackle but I thought the decision to push Taarabt out wide paid off for Harry. Once QPR cut out the errors and built up of a head of steam Jol seemed to have no idea how to change it. It was a very funny game, but I thought your midfield struggled to cope with he energy of QPR's. Not taking anything away from Fulham though, it was a great win for your side but to my mind, Harry did nothing wrong, you can't legislate for mistakes like Samba's, no amount of training or coaching will suffice. Berbatov and Ruiz look a great partnership btw, looking forward to seeing what Jol does in the summer
Just wanted to add that we were utter **** today, and obviously insanely lucky to get a point after Remy's brilliant strike. I tweeted before half time that the game looked like it was set up for you to nick a late winner, and until Sean's free kick that's what I thought you'd done. I know this guy isn't a QPR supporter but this - is just cruel imho. If you can't do a poor Wigan at home, it's not fair to get your hopes up that you can do everton, Arsenal and Liverpool. Maybe you'll have a go at me, but I expected more from you today? Is that fair? Did you see what you expected to see from your team? I thought we would struggle to get a point - not because we would be so ****, but because you would be so good. But it didn't happen, either before or after the sending off.
I thought we did well considering we only had ten men for 77 minutes. We did enough to win the game but lost it due to Gomez and Maloney cheating. Oh, and of course... one of the worse refereeing performances I've seen at LR for many a year. Dowd and his linesmen had a an utter mare.
Come off it, we hit the post with a screamer and had a couple of chances before Zamora went (no real gripe with the sending off, other than it took so long) but Gomez and Maloney went down at every single opportunity,. Mbia was niave to fall for it in the 94th minute. I still don't really see it as a foul, it was a coming together which during the course of game happens every minute. ... I think that makes it worse...niavity has sent us down....How I wished Wigan had scored a goal like ours....I wouldn't feel so bad
The "tight pitch" at Loftus Road is a myth. It's among the smaller pitches in the Premier League, but not by a freakish margin. Spurs, Newcastle and West Ham all have smaller pitches and, unless I'm missing something, I don't think I've ever heard anyone going on about the "tight pitch" at White Hart Lane or St. James' Park. Three pitches only very slightly larger than that at Loftus Road? Anfield, Craven Cottage and... Stamford Bridge. Yes, that famous Chelsea tight pitch that everyone's always going on about....
That was exactly my first thought when I woke up this morning. Followed by "how the hell can we be so naive with all that experience in the squad?". Bloody QPR
Remy hit the post I think? Again, individual brilliance, but you didn't control the game before the sending off. And we let you back into it in the second half with what Bobby called our "worst performance of the season". And yes, Gomez is a cheating git. The only thing he's good for is winning free kicks - but you maybe didn't register the number of times he goes down trying to con the referee, and instead loses us possession because the referee doesn't buy it. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season.
It is tight but not so much by the dimensions, doh...the lack of area around the pitch really reduces the size, players are pulling before they get to the line, if they didn't they'd be in the third row all the time.
