Thought he was our best player v Fulham and performed well again today. Unfortunately, he's prone to commit the same types of foul. Not quite the worst, though, surely?
He did jump, turned half way, and then ducked, which he shouldn't have done but think it would have gone over him anyway as well.
Still dont see how that makes in a mercenary...he was and is again an international keeper...he was not getting game time at Inter and wanted out...clearly we were the only club interested in doing a deal so we got him...mostly about money obviously, but also likely to do with playing in the Prem and getting game time. Now we are going down, it will suit him and us if he were to leave...he spent years in Italy so it makes sense he goes back there...nearly every other decent international player would do the same...not sure how that makes him a mercenary. The point I was making about all Prem squads is that most of the players originate elsewhere, with a high % from abroad...none of these players have the club at heart in my opinion...look at Modric for example...or the many Arsenal players that have been brought and sold over the years?
One good game against Fulham, yes. And one assist today which any player could have done, the ball happened to break to him and he ran with it. I expect that of him. His performances over the course of the season have been terrible, i'm embarrassed to have him at QPR. People need to wise up to be honest
Thats total bollox. One of the worst posts I ever read on here. He's been one of our best. The assist today was top class, most players wouldn't have the speed or strength to run that quick, or that far after playing 84 minutes with 10 men, and then still weigh the perfect pass to Remy who was the only one of ours quick enough to keep up with him.
Should have parked the bus on goal line after scoring 1-0 . Just to secure 3 vip , very important points .
My word! Townsend has been the best player in a Q.P.R. shirt this season - FACT! Just shows how bad the others have been.
dont say much about sorry Harry's tactics picking him then does it.....worst overrated manager in the premiership and will be in the championship also...
Eh? What do Harry's tactics have to do with it? He got it spot on as he has done 9/10 at QPR. QPR have been the better team today and against both Fulham/Villa. Jol had no answers to Harry's tactics and it was only a red card which halted QPR's momentum and allowed Fulham to get men behind the ball that stopped a probable draw (at least). Taarabt missed penalty against Norwich, Bosingwa not jumping allowing Agbonlahor to score from the far post, Samba going AWOL against Fulham and M'Bia conceded a last minute free kick by which Taarabt ducked. No amount of tactics can prepare you for that. That's down to individual errors and commitment. Of all the times to dig at Redknapp this just seems bizarre. Half of the teams in the Premier League would chop off an arm and leg to have Redknapp as their manager. I'm not the biggest fan myself but he's been there and done it before.
look at me? Take a look at M'bia. Seems to me he's been playing every game for a long time, obviously Harry reckons he's the best in his position which I agree with.
Dan, Cardiff will show you just how bad Swansea are - 6 easy points for them against you next season. Michu off to Real Madrid as well - haha.
