Some interesting comments tweeted out from the Q&A

Seems like there might be a good striker on the event horizon if we stay in League 1.
Money is a bit tight
RW would like MJ to be here next season if events work out okay.
Morrell has a target list of 'good' players in non-league
Marsden and Bradshaw alone were not good enough
MJ would have liked Jones to have stayed at the club
Players currently at the club do not have the quality to play the style of passing/attacking football that MJ thinks we should be playing

Matster,
Thanks for this very interesting post. The last comment from MJ seemed a bit rich as we have become harder to beat under him but have shown very little attacking intent. It seems to me we have not got the players suited to the lump it forward style we have been playing most of the time under him. We looked a lot more menacing against Bradford with Atajic and Wildig passing it well and, if Summerfield is fit, surely these players should be starting games. We are bottom of the league so have not got a lot to lose and we should at least go out trying to play some decent football to set a more positive tone for next year.

Yes, it would be nice to see us taking a punt on some players on the way up from non-league. However, given the ridiculous fees being paid fairly recently for the best non-league players (such as Vardy) we may have to spread the net far and wide and be patient while these players gain experience.
