Sounds like a positive evening but regarding the UWE, I found this from a year ago http://www.stokegiffordjournal.co.uk/2013/06/12/uwe-stadium-construction-set-september/ The club announced today that all parties have now signed the Section 106 agreement for the redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium site, where a new Sainsburyâs superstore will be built. Once the Section 106 agreement has been âsealedâ by Bristol City Council, a three month judicial review period will begin, after which the club will be free to complete the sale of the Memorial Stadium site to Sainsburyâs, thereby releasing the funds needed to build the new stadium. So is it only BCC that need to sign it off?
Nothing about Wycombe, nothing about Review........... Feeling numb after last night. We're stuck with what we've got.. and they've got us into the Conference. Read more: http://gasheads.org/thread/580/next-monday-21st-july-say
Story 1 Elliot Richards, After we got done by Dag DC asked Elliot about the game and said he didn't feel that Elliot wanted to win, DC said to us all that he expected Elliot to get upset and say ofc he wants to win. Elliot's reply was a shrug of his shoulders, like he didn't care. Hence why they wanted rid of him Story 2 Hartlepool defeat After getting stuffed 4-0 JW had a chat with the players after the game about being a footballer and how you should train not drink etc. Dc said JW would not allow him to speak to the players as he said his words "i was pissed off" That night 4 players went out on the piss (i was told after JJOT was in fact arrested) JW knew they had gone out but said nothing to them on Monday. DC said JW didn't like confrontations with the players DC words "what a load of bollocks" he said sorry for swearing Story 3 They also spoke about transfers JW leaving etc, They said Ward was given money but said we will be fine and JW had to leave job as they didn't want someone in the position they didn't want to be in (what a joke i thought) Also the board stated LL ws a disaster financial for the club and got them into huge debt. But of course the stadium news. Sainsbury's cant get out of the contact unless rovers allow them, the board said they will hold them to the 40 million. It was all a bit staged tbh but not as bad as i thought it would be.
i asked via twitter on monday night about the wycombe situation and this was the response i got from the club: "there was no question asked about the Wycombe situation, so it was not mentioned."
There is some feedback about the night in a Bristol Post article today. www.bristolpost.co.uk/Chairman-Nick...orum-Bristol/story-21751159-detail/story.html
I don't recognize the meeting as described by Higgs. There were about ninety and it was brought to an end after one and three quarter hours. Exchanges were brusque and curt and little courtesy was shown towards the fans. Toni Watola turned up late and did not apologize. Ken Masters was rudeness personified in his 'compering' of the evening. Some questioners were 'cut off' and a few questions were left completely unanswered. I left feeling numb and totally deflated.
