Im a Moyes fan. I dont care that he is **** in the media. Sam was goodish. PDC was funny. Poyet, i couldnt understand a word, DA was also drab as ****. MoN. ****e. That Blackpool manager could spin a yarn.
I think it's being over analysed because we haven't been winning games so it seems like another negative on top of the others, whereas if we were it'd just be something to mention in passing if at all. Speaking for myself anyway.
Aye if we'd won every game I wouldn't give a **** if Moyes chose to conduct every interview while Morris dancing but if he did it now I'd be questioning his sanity. While laughing.
I think his poor handling of the media is the only real criticism that can be levelled at Moyes. Most sports people are unbelievably dull when they are interviewed so its not odd that he's boring and a misery. It doesn't seem to be causing the players to dislike him as far as I can see and although results haven't been great, I think performances have been fine. I do think that some of the things he says and reactions are weird though, like the 'relegation battle' comments and his death stare the other day. It just leads me to think that he may be a bit of an odd character. Putting 2 and 2 together, and probably getting 548, it leads me to wonder if his character traits are such that it takes him a while to get his message across to people, which is why he succeeded at Everton where he was given plenty of time but was less successful at Man Utd, and possibly at Real Sociedad, where instantaneous results were expected. I just hope he is allowed sufficient time with us.
I don't think anyone cares about his handling of the media. It's how that feeds back and is perceived by the players. Being a dull ****er, doesn't matter. Knocking players confidence with cloak and dagger ****e and negative comments around the playing staff, matters.
Thats it he was left out for medical reasons could read as "his head is not right and he's verbally abusing team mates" We need to move on now -
