Saw a rumour somewhere last night that they were apparently signing Luke Shaw? No.idea if it's true or what. (I'll be honest I haven't looked this morning!!) @Tel any ideas

Rumour has it he's allowed to leave but there's no way we'll pay enough for him, especially if PVA is supposedly worth £14m.

Utd would surely want to recoup a decent amount for him. Shame for the lad as that horrific injury seems to have hurt his progression a lot.

We've got no loans left either so can't see legs in it unfortunately.

Absolutely no chance. We need to buy before we sell and we won't be buying anybody in Jan.

Shaw will play today, will see how fit he is if he can put a 90 minute shift in.

When does this deal have to be done by in order to allow the transfer this window - isn't there an admin cut-off to allow paperwork completion post-window closure.

For the record I think selling PVA is a mistake, when the real solution is to get a proper LB and push him further up.

Its usually 11pm deadline day, which is Tuesday, the day 14 premier teams are playing football, so any deals would be done before then you would think, although I know these days the manager dosent need to be involved.

I think the window closes at 11pm on the 2nd Feb and the official cut off time is two hours later, if you've managed to get paperwork in before that time.

Just checked it ends 11pm Tuesday 31 Jan with an additional 2 hour window to get additional paperwork in:
"However, clubs can complete transfers after 11pm if they have submitted a 'deal sheet', asking for more time to file the complete paperwork. This can extend their deadline until 1am in some circumstances"

A fullback, bombing forward, makes for some compelling football, especially during a relegation battle.

Very disappointing but still keeping the faith that we'll find our way out with the return of Catts and The Jorman

I've just seen a March return posted on here somewhere as well.

Not a moment too soon I think.

The good thing about getting Catts back is that, if I'm correct, he's had an operation for a long term problem that he's been playing through so he might be better than ever if that's even technically possible.

He'd be a canny midfield general in the championship should it come to that.

Did you know that PVA is only the 4th signing to have arrived since 2009 to move on for more than the club paid for him?
if that is true then its no wonder we are in some sort of financial trouble.
