To echo what OddDog said. I don't allow myself online bets, I have to walk to the bookies, which, although admittedly only 5 minutes along a lovely coastal path, does make me feel more disciplined. I've never bet with "fake" money before and this has wonderfully therapeutic. And educational to boot, which is a very odd combination in my experience, thanks, Ron.
Looking at the last published table, I have £450, with £200 pending stakes. I'm presuming the £200 is the Silsol bet, which would return £500. If so: £950 win Cliffs of Dover 3.25 Lingfield. 11/10 P.P. Cheers Ron. Edit. Provisionally recorded as £850 win Cliffs of Dover 3.25 Lingfield. 11/10 P.P. (see post later)
Unless I've missed something smokey, I have your balance at £1,425.00 and your profit/loss at -£575.00
The pending stakes should have been £300 because I had your Silsol bet as £100 win (instead of ew). and you also had a £100 win on Rastacap. Taking account of these and all meetings today being abandoned you had a balance of £850.00. Do you want all of that on Cliffs of Dover?
Hello Ron, I think you have not returned my two bets to run at Cheltenham and that they have not done it in the end. On March 5, I posted this message: https://www.not606.com/threads/punter-of-the-year-betting-competition.356805/page-69#post-11521222 Now I think my account should be £125, not £5. Thank you.
You are absolutely correct Pilgrim. I didn't void the bet at the time because I didn't spot any confirmation. Then, when I processed the results, if it showed "All xx ran" I recorded the bet as lost if the horse wasn't shown as placed. I only look at the full result if it states (unnamed) NR(s). So that's how I missed them. They were indeed NRs and your balance has now been corrected to £125. My apologies and thanks for the notification.
Not yet but hopefully it will be warmer by then. Just as I thought summer was starting, it suddenly got cold again the last 2 days.
