I am learning so much about discipline from this competition. When to resist temptation on daft bets (mostly), when to limit stakes and when to go in big. I had my first real bets since Aintree 2017 on the festival last week and, by applying the same discipline I have learned in this competition, was able to turn a nice profit. Also helped that I had to go to the bookies to place my bets, thus avoiding the temptation of throwing in more online bets (which is so quick and easy to do, especially when you have had a few beers). Looking forward to Aintree and Punchestown but after that I am sure I will struggle on the flat, simply because it doesn't interest me so much and I therefore don't put the time in studying.
