Quevega beat and Fingals Bay out of the places....a proper bookies result there!

On SUBTLE BEN for a nice small yard here. Could be anything!

Quevega :( Davy Russell definitely pinched that one. I suspect there was a large element of Ruby simply riding to beat AP on AFC. That's my viewpoint on it but hey ho, that's racing! Disappointing for her not to go out on a high though. That's my Fever double cooked too <doh>

Hopefully Fever can win, he'll have to be on top of his game to shake off Balder Succes over this trip on this track but I still think he'll do it. Glad I'm limiting myself to the big races only, some of the prices of horses winning! (Though Ned did nab 4th for me earlier, at 5/1 money back anyway, the small things in life eh)!

I was screaming for MM there! Still 2nd at 25-1 is a reasonable consolation :)

They all lose eventually Wooley - we just have to enjoy their brilliance while it lasts.

Word is that that is QUEVEGA's lot. Fantastic mare and shame she has gone out on a defeat. I hope she produces some real quality in her progeny.

It all looked so easy yesterday didn't it! This is like the Cheltenham Friday all over again, except I didn't have an AP bet to save my bacon today...Well done Reebs, thought Moscow Mannon was going to get up for you, but great shout at the price. Not sure if anyone else is winning on here, but fair play if you are!

Don't worry lads. Ruby rode poorly both times but we knew going into the day the biggies were vulnerable.

I've got a minimum of 2 winners tomorrow ready to stick up. Quite confident of a third.

Charlie Longsdon takes on ex boss Nicky Henderson in the Towcester bumper later and both yards seem very confident. Charlies horse, PROMANCO, was for sale when beaten by a nice one of Alan King's on its bumper debut. They soon decided to keep her. She is a winner of an Irish point and will definitely appreciate Towcesters stiff finish. At the current odds of 7/2 I think she is worth a bet but taking on a Hendo bumper always fills me with dread!

On paper some nice runners in that bumper stick - the three "Brierys", plus High As A Lark catching the eye. Should be an informative race.

The winner in that Punchy bumper led, then just in behind, got relegated to last and then stayed on a won cosily.
