I'd have him in truth, better than Hogan at this level IMO.

North, I disagree slightly with our comment re Evatt not cutting it in prem.
He never settled at QPR, and too be fair to Blackpool they did us a favour by taking him off our hands. I have seen £1 mill price tag attached to Evatt and whilst I personally wouldn't pay this for him, he did give his all in a Blackpool shirt last season, possibly played at the highest level he was ever going to achieve and I reckon he could do a similar job for another premier club. He tends to stay fitter than Hall and you know you will get a few more games out of him..plus the odd goal or two.
It was his first ever seasn in that division, and our current squad has a hell of a lot of players who haven't played there and who could be tanished with the same brush.
If you were to offer me Evatt or Hall or Hulse - I know which of those three I would pick.......and the surname wouldn't start with an H

Still don't like the look of this one. It would not be a good deal in my opinion!

Help ship 78 goals and get relegated? I'm sure he could

His performance against Man Utd in the last game summed him up.

Ninj, you are seriously on a mission to drive me demented!

    Swords

opinions - mine differ to yours - I have no problem with this.
However, there have been worse players in he premier league since it came into existance; Devon White, Vinnie Jones, Greg Goodridge, Massimo Taibi, Karl Ready, Steve Morrow to name but a few. Evatt def not an international, and yes he was part of a team that conceded 78 goals, but (1) surely you cannot blame him for all 78, and (2) how do you think our current crop of defenders will rate against a Man Utd strike force?

    (1) No, just 50 of them

    (2) Terrible. But wouldn't be helped by Ian f*cking Evatt!!
