That article says that we've had no contact with Swansea and Jenkins doubts that Liverpool have been contact with Bony behind Swansea's back. Jenkins also likes the sound of his voice and comments on just about any transfer rumour about Swan's players, even if it is just wild speculation.

Its not our fault that the player has had his head turned by reading gossip and rumour.

And even if we did back down after the £19m asking price, good for us. He's not worth that much and I'm glad the club has the good sense to know that

As for the Suarez fee, no idea what the base fee or the terms were. The papers are full of ****, there's not one person from Liverpool who've said what it is, so all the reports are jarg....

Was it Huw Jenkins that used to open his gob about EVERY transfer at one point? Even the ones that had nothing to do with him? There was a site that had fictional quotes by Huw on any subject you could think of as a joke.

Journalism is at it's lowest in years. I don't believe anything Huw Jenkins says because he seems to respond to media pressure. It's as if he reads the news reports, instantly believes them, and acts upon them.
