My mates a firefighter in Grimsby and he gives me the impression that most of them are racist BNP supporting ****s.
Wonder what someone will come up with next to bash the Allams with? 'it was raining today and spoiled my wedding, it was those bastards and their diesel engines causing global warming'. For the first time in the modern era we have people running the club like it should be run and making decisions that wil help us become self sufficient. There will always be some that are upset with certain decisions, you can't please everyone. Provided we have a team that is challenging for the play offs next year, isn't on the verge of going bust and we beat Colin's lot next season I'll be happy
Someone posted firefighters should be let in to City for free, how is it been a twat questioning that. Yes cops and nurses do, firefighters dont which is why they want to rearrange their shifts so they arent sleeping or playing volleyball but actually working on their shifts. You know like the rest of us.
Feel free to fuk off on a tangent any time you want. Firefighters given free passes for Ctiy? NO Firefighters do a lot of other work as they have so much free time on the job? Yes. Do i give a fuk what they do? No If the government are looking at curtailing their scam, tough **** times up boys. Yes??
My Dad is a retired fireman so I can confirm that yes they do have part time jobs. I remember my Dad coming home from a night shift at 9am and going straight back out the door the go and drive a delivery lorry. They are still heroes to me though although I don't agree they should get a reduction in passes though. I tell you who does give price reductions to any one in a unform though. That new donut shop in St Stephens. My Dad went in his uniform the other day (he still works for the brigade doing fire safety) and they told him anyone in a services uniform gets a discount.
Its a difficult one because if you cannot work because of a disability then you get between £300 to around £500 a month depending what level of disability you are on so it will be difficult for some if there is no other way of bringing any other income in, therefore i think we will lose quite a large number of fans from this section, also the fans who are over 60 but under 65 have seen there prices go up so again another group we will lose fans. on the plus side family's have a good deal although does the child get a cheap ticket if they are with one parent or does it have to be two because if so then buying two adult tickets would be very expensive
Oh it fukin was. The thread was about people having to pay full price. Someone suggested firemen get in free. I said no they're on plenty of money and would rather see school kids get in free. You go on about ****e predict a fire bollocks. Add something to the discussion or dont bother. Who should get in free.
Who said that? I sure didn't. I didn't even say to let them in for reduced prices, I said I would rather see them get discounts than disabled people - i didnt demand that we give them reduced prices. At the end of the day were a football club not a charity. P.S one day you might appreciate the fire service when God forbid they're pulling you or a member of your family from a burning building or car wreck. Right I'm off to play volleyball.
From memory, existing passholders who were classed as senior last year will continue to receive concessionary tickets. It's only new 60+ passholders who will miss out so they will be paying the same as the previous year.

I know a certain person who gets just under £1,000 a month with disability allowances plus income support...plus £280 on top of that for rent...and all medication is free Which is a good job as one lot of pills cost £60 each if they had to be paid for . if I can't afford to save for a ticket / season pass then something's wrong some where. If I can't afford it just like everyone else I can't go. Iv never applied for the cheap pass or cheap ticket or for a free carers ticket . Unemployed struggle more as do low earners so really if disability passes are cheaper so should ones for low earners and the unemployed . I don't expect or even want to be treat different to anyone else and like the bloke in the paper my illness can't be cured either . I guess everyone's situation is different. My daughters 24 and lives in Newcastle so I don't have a young family like some but then working people also have family's as do the unemployed. I don't expect or want to pay less as I said already .
Ps Just under £1,000 a month includes disability and income support....then the £280 rent on top. Also free road tax for my carer. I can even have a free bus pass but seen as I can't go anywhere on my own that's something I don't bother with. I could even get grants for stuff if I wanted but again I don't bother. I would feel a cheeky bastard asking for a cheap pass or a cheap ticket .
Quite how a discussion on price rises for the disabled turned into a slagging off of fireman I'm not sure, but it shouldn't have. When I was about eight, my house burnt down. One of the fireman who attended slashed his wrist on a window getting into the house and the damage was so bad he ended up losing the use of one had and he had to leave the fire service. To make it worse, he happened to be a friend of my mum and dad's(possibly why he got a bit carried away trying to get into the place). I hope he doesn't expect a discount ticket at City.
Okay, a bit off tack, but my true fireman story. A house up east Hull, well ablaze with a frantic mother screaming outside, 'my bairns, my bairns' and the firemen trying to get what sense they could out of her. "How many bairns you got love?" "I've got three, our Johnny, Jennny and little Jimmy" Several trips into the blazing house with all the breathing gear later, the firemen can only find two. "Okay, love. Try to think, where did you last see little Jimmy?" asked the desperate fireman. "When I dropped him off at my sisters" says mam...
This thread is just ridiculous now what do any of the slagging off firemen posts have to do with adding anything to the debate
