Calculated guess. They scored hat tricks against us in successive home matches in March and April 1963. Lazarus for QPR 2-5 on 23/3/63, Clark 1-4 for Bristol City on 26/3/63 and Cliff H for Palace 1-4 on 6/4/63. I don't know the scorers in these games but all three players were playing for those clubs at the time, so it's a bit of a guess. <ok>
I cant believe we conceded two against you.
We had a dodgy defence even then.

Would have thought your focus would've been on higher things... But, oh no, my mistake, you're in the bottom three... <whistle>
I would hate to be in the Championship with all that debt too. <yikes>
Look what happened to Pompey, and they're a much bigger club than you.

How do find the time to be on our board so much when you spend so much of your life trussed up like this?

As for your defence, they know how to party - the Christmas do was a Caulker. <whistle>

This story gets better... <laugh>

Allegedly <laugh>, he fell over (we know a song about that boys and girls, don't we?).

And, the party held by the defence who concedes the most goals per game, took place in... wait for it... (you couldn't make this up)... the Ship Inn. <rofl>

Thanks for starting my day so brightly.

Anyway, sorry BB, my answer's under all this rubbish. <ok>

That's not only a calculated guess but an accurate one. <ok>

I was at all three of those games - don't know how I ever recovered. IIRC one of Big Cliff's goals was from a free kick on the half way line/side line, right in front of the main stand. :(

<yikes> Thanks for that, BB - glad I wasn't there!

Who did God (that's GT of course :)) describe as his best ever signing?

No - that was about 2 months prior. There is a connection of sorts in my previous question...

No games played on 15th December 1982 that I can see beyond Yugoslavia  4-4 Wales.

ENGLISH DIV 1 (OLD) Sa 11Dec 1982
Liverpool 3 - 1 Watford

ENGLISH DIV 1 (OLD) Sa 18Dec 1982
